About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Caya Shobo is dedicated to providing real healing, highly tailored to each individual, for small groups of no more than 12 guests.

Experience deep healing with Ayahuasca and the Master Plants of the Amazon jungle with genuine high-level master Shipibo shamans and knowledgeable, caring western facilitators

In this traditional Shipibo Ayahuasca with Master Plant Dieta retreat you will learn ancestral Shipibo knowledge of how to connect with the master plants to receive their incredible gifts of wisdom and healing for your body, mind and spirit.

Our highly experienced facilitation team and our amazing service staff will support and guide you as you enter an intensive process of deep self-reflection, cleansing and restoration. Begin to rewrite your future with the sacred assistance of the master teacher plants.

Ongoing guidance and integration support from our passionate, experienced community will help bring the benefits of your healing retreat back to your life at home.

This beautiful healing sanctuary, full of flowering gardens and medicine plants, is a unique and exceptional place.

We are one of the only Western-run Ayahuasca centers that has been endorsed by the Coshicox Shipibo Conibo Tribal Council for the outstanding quality of our medicine and our master healers.

Please note, you will need to submit a health form which we will review before your acceptance to a Caya Shobo Ayahausca Retreat can be confirmed.

What to Expect:

In a 12-day retreat you'll have the opportunity to participate in up to 8 Ayahuasca ceremonies, tailored to your particular needs through a personally prescribed Shipibo Master Plant Dieta treatment.

Throughout your stay, personalized plant therapies are available to supplement your retreat experience.

The Ayahuasca ceremonies will be led by our Shipibo maestros Arturo, Walter, Lucinda and/or Dominga. All hold a minimum of 25 years of healing experience with Ayahuasca and their Master Plant Dieta tradition, and great empathy and desire to help others along the path of healing and spiritual growth.

Caya Shobo’s team of experienced facilitators play an important supportive role during the ceremonies, providing translation assistance in both English and Spanish and sometimes also in Russian or German. Facilitators assist with knowledgeable guidance and integration counselling during your stay.

A Focused Journey:
To ensure a distinctive experience, we limit bookings to a maximum of 12 participants. This intimate setting allows participants to receive individualized treatment for their unique spiritual and healing journey. In our experience, large groups can be distracting to participants and don’t afford our maestros and facilitators the dedicated time they need to truly facilitate deep transformation and healing. Also with smaller groups, guests can more easily relax into and focus on their own process.

Please note, that the final number of confirmed maestros and facilitators in attendance at each retreat will depend on the number of guests participating. (Groups of at least 7 guests will have at least 2 maestros and 2 experienced facilitators in attendance).

What’s Included:
Your all-inclusive package covers everything you need for this extraordinary retreat: 8 Ayahuasca Ceremonies, personalized Master Plant Dieta and healing song Icaro treatments, comfortable accommodation with room-cleaning/laundry service, delicious Dieta-friendly meals, and convenient airport or hotel transfers to and from Iquitos.

Wi-Fi is available for guests in the common area.

Accommodation:
Choose from several accommodation options: The standard room, spacious and equipped with a private bathroom, is our most affordable option. For those seeking a more immersive jungle experience, we offer stylish hard-wood jungle tambos (with shared bathroom facilities). And for seekers of greater comfort in the jungle, Deluxe Tambos with high ceilings and their own beautiful private bathroom are our most deluxe accommodation options.

Retreat Preparation & Integration:
When inquiring about a stay at Caya Shobo, you will be asked to provide detailed information regarding your medical, physical and mental health history before your reservation is confirmed. We’re happy to talk with you personally to help answer all your questions, and we will also guide you about preparing your body and mind for the retreat in the weeks before your arrival in Peru.

After your departure from Peru we offer integration support including access to group and/or private integration sessions, the opportunity to open a Master Plant Dieta from home and recommendations for the next steps in your journey of self-transformation.

Getting There:
Once you’ve booked your retreat, we’ll provide you with all the information you need to know, including guidance on travel arrangements and related queries such as what to pack for your stay.

About Caya Shobo:
Caya Shobo, nestled in the heart of the Western Amazonian Basin, is a tranquil haven just a 20-minute drive from Iquitos airport.

What sets Caya Shobo apart is its official endorsement by the Coshikox (Shipibo Conibo Xetebo Tribal Council), verifying the authenticity and advanced level of our master Shipibo shamans and the adherence to Shipibo plant medicine traditions, particularly the practice of Master Plant Dieta. Working closely with a team of highly skilled Shipibo Maestra and Maestro Onánya Curanderos, each boasting a minimum of 25 years of experience, Caya Shobo offers a wealth of expertise in Ayahuasca and Shipibo Dieta healing.

The entire team of facilitators is also deeply immersed in the Shipibo Dieta healing and learning process, so we are very selective about the quality of our master healers! Lead facilitators also undergo extensive training in traditional Shipibo healing and guest care, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment for each individual's unique healing journey. At Caya Shobo, your healing process is met with respect and confidence, acknowledging its intricate and personal nature.

The only retreat you need
My time at Caya Shobo was more than what I could have ever expected. I was looking for a retreat center that was truly focused on healing without all the extra fluff. I wanted an authentic healing experience in a space that would allow me to be and process in my own way. From the moment I stepped onto the property I knew I made the right decision. Not only were the Shamans and facilitators incredible and helpful, but every single person that has a hand in CS made my trip truly magical. I stayed in a private room, and it was basic (as you would expect in the jungle) and very comfortable-I spent a lot of time in there. The food is so clean and delicious. I still find myself craving lunch at Caya Shobo. For anyone who is looking for a deep healing retreat I would recommend Caya Shobo over and over again.

Deep healing safe environment
I had quite a lot Ayahuasca experiences before coming to Caya Shobo. I however never had such deep and accurate healing experiences. I can't imagine going in another center ever again. The shipibo shamans were very efficient, and totally trustworthy. The best medicine people I ever met. Their approach to medicine is tailored to every participants individual needs. Working with Ayahuasca and peruvian plants can be emotionally challenging, so it is very important that the external conditions are good too. I felt incredibly safe and totaly listened too at Caya Shobo. I do not speak Spanish but the facilitators translated every thing for me, and shared their valuable knowledge too. The resort is also quite comfortable, anyways it's the most comfortable and beautiful jungle ressort I ever went to. And the energies are very very good.
I went to Caya Shobo last year and the healings I received there kept growing in me and helping me long after I came back home. I wish I ll be able to do another retreat soon. I really recommend.

The best option for Ayahuasca retreat
I’ve been to Caya Shobo 3 times in the last year and a half - and I would not personally choose to go anywhere else. In my experience, the maestros at Caya Shobo aren’t only the sweetest and good-hearted people, but also incredibly gifted and powerful at what they do. The healings I have experienced in the ceremonies here have gone as deep as my genetic blueprint. There is real magic happening at Caya Shobo. The master plant dietas and the ayahuasca ceremonies have fundamentally changed me from the inside out. In addition to the incredible healings that happen here, the site itself is actually really comfortable for being in the middle of the jungle. There is full staff that cook for you, offer laundry service, clean your room, and keep the whole place clean and running smoothly for the duration of the retreats. The facilitators are westerners and have so much experience with the medicine and offer amazing support. You will be taken care of physically, emotionally, and spiritually - better than most places. I recommend Caya Shobo 10/10 for ayahuasca retreat and master plant dietas.

Superb Retreat
Great people, beautiful retreat center, knowledgeable curanderos (shamans).
Felt safe and secure there to go through a cleansing/healing journey (did a 12 day retreat). Inner work is never easy and doing that kind of work in the right environments with the right people is something I take very seriously.
10/10 would recommend Caya Shobo!

Transformative
I attended a retreat at Caya Shobo earlier this year and am still celebrating the profound transformation that unfolded during my master plant dieta. I knew I was feeling stuck, but I had no idea how much I was carrying until I was finally able to release it.

Caya Shobo offers a safe, nurturing, and deeply knowledgeable space to explore your inner world and transform life’s challenges into powerful lessons that bring clarity and renewal. This experience has helped me become a more present mother, a more loving partner, and a more intentional creator of my own life.

The tambos are thoughtfully designed, the food is nourishing and delicious, and the staff embodies both kindness and wisdom. I felt genuinely cared for and supported every step of my journey.

If you’re seeking a place for true healing and inner work—congratulations, you’ve found it.
