About this Retreat
Jenny, beekeeper of over 16 years and teacher for nearly two decades, has devoted her life to the sacred practices of keeping bees.
Jenny has studied shamanic and ancient beekeeping in Europe and Africa and has cultivated her beekeeping training around using intuition, magic, and ceremony.
Jenny will weave together the ancient wise woman practices, later known as a witch, with present-day beekeeping.
She will initiate a training program during this retreat for participants/womb-havers to develop deep knowledge of intuition while working directly with live beehives and using ceremonial practices related to the Melissae.
Born and raised in Hawaii, she offers a unique experience and perspective throughout her training programs and courses.
Owner of Bee Love Apiaries and Founder of the Honeybee Education Program, she has built a robust and vibrant Non Profit program that supports the well being of local honeybees and pollinators through advocacy and education.
The Honeybee Education Program educates over 2000 youth and adults annually by offering hands-on workshops, builds community gardens, creates apiaries (bee yards) in local schools and trains farmers, youth students and community members to become beekeepers and create healthy pollinator habitat.

Alison Yahna founded Artemis Smiles Honeybee Sanctuary after her spontaneous initiation into the ancient lineage of bee shamanism 1999. For more than twenty years she has been an oracle of their sacred wisdom teachings, and an advocate and practitioner of natural and regenerative beekeeping. She is celebrating the official status of The Mother Temple, a honeybee temple for this age that echoes the bee temples of antiquity.
With a philosophy based on connection, unity, and consciousness; Jen has developed a strong apiary by establishing a relationship with bees based on intuition and observation. Her morals and beliefs have been the foundation of her growth and success. Jenʻs practices are based on hygienic management & biological needs, mixed with an understanding of energy & manifestation, to create a fun & peaceful experience with bees.
Emily Shekinah Kaye began her journey of remembering the way of the honeybee on the Big Island of Hawaii. Emily is the owner of Sun Moon Apothecary, a thriving herbal business focusing on self-care body temple practices with an emphasis on reproductive and sexual health as well as sensual wellness. She facilitates ancient womb-based ceremonies and is honored to have the honeybee as her ally and dear friend. Emily has traveled to England and Scotland to study with the Sacred Trust and the College of the Melissae. She is a beekeeper on the Big Island and is creating a 3 acre farm with her family.
She teaches Ashtanga Yoga, Yoga & Movement Fundamentals, Restorative Yoga and Pranayama (breath work). All with focus on developing a tailored practice based on each student's needs and intention. She gives individualized attention to alignment and challenging each student to grow and deepen their personal yoga practice through a series of asanas (yogic postures) and breathing practices.

Join us for the Wise Woman Spiritual Beekeeping Retreat and Training, on the beautiful & enchanting Hamakua Coast, Hawaii Island.
This 6 night, 7 day retreat and training will train women to become sisters of the hive, and bee guardians and learn the sacred intuitive art of keeping bees using the most gentle practices.
This retreat will integrate the understandings and practices of ancient Melissae tradition combined with intuitive beekeeping practices.
We will work with live beehives daily, practice yoga, receive bodywork, eat amazing catered meals and develop self-intuitive powers that can be used in our daily lives to create more joy and abundance.
There is an ancient saying, “bees find their keepers”- are you being called?
We will focus on themes of arrival, ground, and ascend in this retreat.
This retreat will be healing and activating in essence. Components of the retreat will work with live beehives to cultivate the skill of beekeeping while also cultivating devotional practices related to honoring the sacred bees, the Great Mother, and Divine Feminine.
Apiary work (Beekeeping)
We will train sisters to work with bees to become beekeepers/guardians using Intuitive and Holistic practices.
We will spend time opening hives and understanding the colony and their needs. We will work bee hives daily. All levels of beekeeping are welcome. This retreat and training are for beginning and experienced beekeeping sisters.
Temple Work and Devotion:
We will spend time in the temple to develop a deeper intuitive nature through the practices of the Melissae and Wise Woman traditions.
There is an intricate weaving of rituals combined with tending and caring for bees that will enhance our connection and skill as beekeepers/guardians.
The ceremonial, ritual, and devotional work will naturally activate our own healing, bringing forth more magic in our lives.
Activating
The training will be intensive as we work with live bee hives while using devotional rituals and ceremonies. Sisters will gain skills to work with bee colonies, using gentle intuitive practices that ultimately support the revered honey bee and cultivate harmony, cohesion, and oneness between beekeeper and colony.
Instructors are skilled to teach this uncommon practice of intuitive and gentle beekeeping.
Healing
Bodywork, daily yoga, womb keeper wisdom, and sisterhood connection will allow you to dive into relaxation and healing as we develop our intuitive self.
The retreat Center offers deep relaxation, beauty, and safety as we explore the healing properties of keeping bees while activating Wise Woman Magic and Manifestation.

TThe Puna Rainforest Retreat is a private estate surrounded by rainforest with luxurious accommodations. Includes secluded 20 acre property; main house and 4 cottages, rainforest, meadow, orchard, avos, bananas, ocean views, steam vents, swimming pool, volcanic hot spring tubs and private 1.2 mile nature trail.
