About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

We are an association offering legal, small group (3-4 people) psychedelic-assisted therapy sessions with magic mushrooms (Psilocybe cubensis) to those in need. We are graduates of Somatic Plant Medicine Integration certification and have completed professional training in the Trauma-informed Plant Medicine Masterclass offered by Atira Tan. We are signatories of the North Star ethics pledge for psychedelic practitioners, guided by integrity and sincerity as foundational principles in our work.

Come together to experience the benefits of journeying with psilocybin in community. This retreat is structured to allow for both profound individual discovery and self-exploration through relation with others.

Our intention is to create a space where people can safely and confidently work with psilocybin mushrooms through building their own relationship with this medicine while additionally having the opportunity to share about their experience and relate it with that of the others.

This retreat is designed for those who wish to better understand their own intricate and delicate patterns of relating to others. Sharing space while journeying can shed light on the difficulties and blessings of relating to our fellow humans. Such moments can be great opportunities to work through anxieties or insecurities but if you feel too challenged by this, please look into our 1:1 facilitation options.

For more information about us, please see our website mycosomaticmagic.com

Schedule

During the intake phase, we conduct a thorough medical and psychological pre-screening process to ensure the safety of the experience for all candidates.

Once applications are accepted and dates arranged, the preparation phase includes the presentation of introductory educational content, and a 15 minute intoductory interview to get to know each other and to discuss intentions and upcoming steps.

The session begins with a preparatory discussion, during which we set and record intentions, work through doubts and fears, and provide "flight instructions" about how to navigate any challenging experiences that may arise. We then take you through a series of psychosomatic emotional and trauma release exercises that you can use during the trip, and conclude the preparation session with a tea ceremony.

After the tea ceremony, we guide you through breathing exercises to relax and calm the mind as the effects begin to take hold.

The peak hours of the journey will be inward-focused and the space will be non-conversational, so each person can be fully immersed in the sensations that are present for them. This part will be non-interactive and any support that is needed will be directly and solely from the facilitators. Though non-conversational and non-interactive, we still fully encourage self-expression in the form of laughter, crying, screaming, moving, shaking, whatever needs to arise in your journey.

Eye opening experience with Malwina
I did my retreat in May 2025, it has taken me a while to review due to work commitments but also to enable me to process the benefits of the experience entirely over time.
I firstly would say the this has been one of the most important and valuable things I've ever done.
My experience was very positive with Malwina, we started before I arrived to Málaga with a video consultation where I expressed why I wanted the experience and what I wished to get out of it. It was also a vibe check because trust is important during this process. From my side I was as open as I could have been which is important. I had also ( as many probably have) watched all the netflix documentaries on psychedelics.
I felt I'd hit a block in my life where suddenly I wasn't confident anymore and was questioning myself . I was struggling with work and getting so stressed that it was causing bodily illness for extended months.
This wasn't why I did the retreat, I had actually been researching for a few years. This happened to fall perfectly just before a yoga retreat. I do not recommend going directly back to work after this because it's intense!
The accomodation for the retreat was pleasant and quiet in the mountains. Malwina made it comfortable with a fire and it was also warm outside.
My experience took a while and was not as I expected or as i had watched and read from other people. After the experience you'll have much more clarity, but at the time I felt I wasn't getting anything out of it for several hours which is unusual. But I have repressed emotions for such a long time, it is unsurprising it took a while, and on reflection, the process started earlier that I thought at the time. During my "breakthrough" as Id call it, Malwina was there with tissues. Also assisting me when I needed to walk up to the toilet and when I was sick - this can happen as you may also have a strong somatic response.
She stayed with me until I was fully back to earth which was quite late in my case.
The bed was comfortable but expect to maybe not sleep. I had to take paracetamol during the night because I had a strong headache.
In the morning, Malwina helped me to talk through my experience and make sense of it. I wasn't afraid to let go and be emotional, which was a nice change and very freeing.
I had a few questions to complete afterwards over the period of weeks to help me make sense of the experience..I chose to journal these thoughts. The aftercare was very good. Malwina also had a call with me about a month after the retreat to check how I was getting on. You do need that I think because the experience is a lot to digest.
I chose to keep up with micro dosing after the experience, and I believe it has benefitted me hugely in both my mental health during work over summer and my physical health as we approach winter.
I will say, whatever you think the issue is might not be the issue. Your mind tells you what you need to know and shows it to you. It could be something entirely different from whatever you believe is troubling you at that time. That's the brilliant thing about it, you are given what you need.
I would absolutely do this experience again. I was such an important event for.me and has shaped the way I've carried on with life.

A Transformational Experience Beyond Words
Attending this mushroom retreat has been one of the most powerful and life-changing experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt deeply welcomed, held, and safe. The facilitators are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also profoundly compassionate human beings. They created a sacred space that allowed me to fully surrender and trust the process, knowing I was in caring and capable hands.

The ceremonies themselves were beautifully guided—deeply intentional, respectful, and filled with reverence for the medicine. I experienced profound insights, emotional release, and a sense of connection that I have been longing for. The way the team combined traditional wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches felt seamless and authentic, honoring both the spiritual and the psychological dimensions of healing.

What really stood out was the integration support. It wasn’t just about the journey during ceremony; it was about weaving the lessons into daily life. Through sharing circles, gentle guidance, and heartfelt connection, I left not only with clarity and healing but also with practical tools to carry forward.

The setting was breathtaking—peaceful, natural, and nourishing in every sense. The food, the accommodation, the attention to detail—all contributed to an environment where I could truly focus inward and allow the medicine to work its magic.

I cannot recommend this retreat enough for anyone seeking deep healing, self-discovery, or spiritual connection. It is a rare gift to find such integrity, care, and wisdom held together in one place. I leave with a heart full of gratitude, a renewed sense of purpose, and the feeling that I’ve come home to myself.

Wisdom with Warmth and Lightness
Griffin brings a rare mix of warmth, humor, and insight that makes the journey feel lighter even in its most challenging moments. He has an intuitive sense for when to step in and when to let silence do the work, which made me feel both free and supported. His depth of knowledge is obvious, yet he carries it with humility and accessibility. I especially appreciated how he wove in grounding practices and integration tips that I know will stay with me long after the retreat.
