About this Retreat
Dr. Stéphanie Marchal is a registered psychologist working in Victoria. Her practice focuses on relationships, attachment, trans-generational trauma and transitions/transformations. She is a wilderness personal guide, and studied with Animas Valley Institute and Francis Weller among others. She works with people toward recovering their wholeness, uncovering their gifts, and applying these in their lives and for the good of their community. She has experienced wilderness as a powerful ally in these tasks.
She is personally interested in supporting deep and courageous transformations driven by the participants. One of Stephanie's focus is to support the weaving of authentic experiences and visions with the person's embodied life. She's a firm supporter of people's authentic voices and helps them be heard. She uses dream images, guided journeys and somatic practices to help clarify the thread to deep experience, and support integration and manifestation.
Some of Stéphanie's integration work is brought into psychedelic-assisted therapy as she is legally trained to support the use of psilocybin, MDMA and Ketamine.

Becky Traptow is a Therapeutic Bodyworker who uses parts therapy, various forms of bodywork,
and nature based practices to help people turn toward, befriend and heal their inner worlds. You
might also call her a modern day medicine woman, a guide at the crossroads and a lover of our
fruitful unraveling. She brings with her 12 years of experience in nature-based wholing and
healing practices with Animas Valley Institute, training as a Wild Mind Guide as well as training
with Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Rosen Method Bodywork, Craniosacral Therapy
and Healing From the Core. She is mother to 6 grown kids and 3 grandkids and lives with her 3
youngest in the majestic coastal forests of Vancouver Island, Canada. Becky believes that you
can only take people as far as you have gone yourself so she is always continuing her own
healing and wholing work and believes bodywork, parts therapy and nature-based spirituality to
be key in her own unfolding. She looks forward to supporting you in your journey of healing and
wholing, and discovering and loving who you truly are.
My personal journey is one of passion for story-tracking and celebrating life with heart. Ritual and ceremony have been hallmarks in my personal and professional life to create the context for this kind of intimacy to grow and take root as a way of being in this precious world. Every day, I seek to fall in love with the world at my fingertips, and to embrace poet Jalal al-Din Rumi’s invitation to “let the beauty we love be what we do”, finding my own way to “kneel and kiss the ground.

Wild Wisdom Gatherings
Step into the heart of nature in the ancient forests of South Vancouver Island, Victoria area, for an afternoon of connection, reflection, and exploration. Guided by trained Wild Mind Practitioners, our monthly gatherings offer an opportunity to listen deeply, share our voices, and attune ourselves to the wisdom of the earth and the spirit of the seasons.
Each gathering is a chance to ground ourselves in community, tune into our internal landscapes, and then wander freely among cedar and arbutus trees, broom and fern, shape-shifting creek and meadow. These sacred spaces and land-based practices invite us to engage with the nature-based map of the psyche, grounded in Bill Plotkin’s Wild Mind teachings, helping us reconnect with the wild, whole parts of ourselves.
