Sacred Balance: Integrating Spirituality and Mental Well-Being
Professional Development Seminar

10:00am – Spirituality, the Brain, and Mental Well-Being
What role does spirituality play in mental health? Can science and faith work together to promote well-being? Participants will learn current research findings and discuss case examples at the intersection of spirituality and mental health.

12:00pm - Lunch

1:00 pm – Spiritual Practices for Well-Being
Active engagement is the strongest indicator for positive use of spirituality in coping. Participants will engage several spiritually rooted practices with proven mental health benefits. Includes guided practice of Breath prayer, Loving Kindness Prayer, and Prayerful Savoring.

2:00pm – Integrating Faith & Well-Being
Closing discussion on integrating spirituality in clinical and professional settings. Participants will identify key takeaways from earlier sessions and set goals for personal and professional integration.

BioSpiritual Focusing Retreat 8/26
I received so many gifts of new knowledge and experiences from all 4 instructors and many participants. As always I enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces, especially the labyrinth. I truly appreciate the space that was freely available in the chapel, carriage house and friendship hall for myself and others to offer optional groups.

Table of Grace
Last Thursday evening I attended a Table of Grace Italian dinner with three friends. It was an amazing experience with sumptuous Italian food and beautiful hospitality. The four of us had been part of a Jubilee Year 2025 pilgrimage in Italy last August 2025 with our parish. The food and atmosphere at Genesis was ‘the real thing’!

Looking forward to the next themed event there at Genesis.

Thank you!
