Angelica Lopez is a Puerto Rican trauma-informed yoga facilitator from Holyoke, MA, whose early experience with yoga during an abusive upbringing became a source of agency and empowerment. After two decades of practice, she deepened her studies, completing training with organizations like The Veterans Yoga Project, Yoga4Cancer, and The Prison Yoga Project. Angelica partners with organizations such as Dress for Success, the Western Mass Wellness and Recovery Center, and The Brick House to bring healing-centered yoga to communities that might not otherwise have access to it. In 2021, she created the Thrive series, an 8-week program supporting survivors of sexual trauma by uplifting the strengths and wisdom they already possess. Her work continues to evolve, offering accessible and inclusive spaces for healing.

6 day directed retreat
I have been going to Genesis since 1980. As usual, my experience was wonderful. Sr. Nancy is extremely wise and caring. I love being with her. It's also great to have liturgy twice during the week. The house is very comfortable, warm when it needs to be and very cool when necessary. The schedule and the food is great. I have no complaints. Please God I will return next summer.
