About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Soltara at Goddess Falls welcomes you into a space of panoramic wonder, sacred ceremony, and rooted transformation. Located in the Diamante Valley, a region celebrated for its bountiful wildlife, countless waterfalls, and lush rainforest environment. Poised on a ridge within a private nature sanctuary spanning over 200 acres, this location offers sweeping views of the stunning valley below.
Soltara at Goddess Falls offers the same trusted, heart-centered healing you’ve come to know - guided by our Shipibo healers, experienced facilitators, and an unwavering commitment to safety, support, and integrity. Rooted in the wisdom of the Peruvian Shipibo tradition and sacred plant medicine, we also integrate complementary healing practices - both traditional and modern - to support your journey of self-discovery. With decades of collective experience in ceremony and medicine work, our team holds a loving, expertly held space for deep transformation.
Our Commitment To You
We are called to serve medicine in sacred ceremony with integrity, humility, and compassion. By creating a safe space and working only with experienced, well-intentioned healers and facilitators, we uphold the lessons of the medicines and build a foundation of mutual trust, authenticity, and respect. We are not gurus, preachers, or enlightened beings – our healers are maestros who humbly transmit the knowledge and healing energies of the plants, and our facilitators are devoted to helping guests face, process, and explore difficult experiences and emotions, handle projections, manage expectations, and surrender to the process. We strive to uphold the highest integrity in everything we do and be a beacon for responsible, safe, and ethical practices, such that our guests feel safe and supported to get the most out of their healing.

Menu Types

We believe healing even takes place in the kitchen. We take on the mantra by the Greek physician, Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” We honor the role of food in our lives and expand it beyond its primary purpose of bodily nourishment – food can be an avenue to dig deeper into ourselves, consciously looking at our patterns and mindsets surrounding not just what we eat, but how and why we eat what we do. Our eating habits don’t just affect our mental health, they also reflect it. At Soltara, we aim to help you jumpstart this process of connection through conscious cooking on all levels. Diet is an important part of the healing process, both on its own and also to help prepare the mind and body for plant medicine work. We work closely with our shamans to prepare wholesome, delicious meals that adhere to the traditional dietary guidelines of working with ayahuasca. All of our meals are freshly prepared in-house by our loving kitchen staff. From fresh smoothies and juices every morning, to plant-based meals emphasizing local, organic, and sustainable produce, to lean proteins such a chicken and fish, we celebrate the rich local flavor of Costa Rican cuisine, and offer a chance to experience a connection to the land and culture while nourishing the body, mind, and spirit.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience (Until I Go Back!)
My time at Soltara Ayahuasca Retreat was truly life-changing — a once-in-a-lifetime experience… until I go back. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The facilitators, staff, and healers created an atmosphere of safety, comfort, and reassurance that allowed me to fully surrender to the process.
The accommodations were beautiful, the food was nourishing and delicious, and every detail felt intentional and heart-centered. The medicine itself was an unexplainable experience — deeply transformative in ways words can’t quite capture.
I left Soltara with a renewed sense of clarity, healing, and purpose. The connections I made there have become lifelong friendships, and the positive changes have been evident not only to me but to everyone around me since returning home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience — I’m already looking forward to going back.

the most amazing place an experience - all the stars
words are hard to describe how amazing and beautiful Soltara is. I have gone twice almost a year apart and both expereinces were next level. to start the food is AMAZING, from what I have heard the best you can get at this type of retreat, the facilities are beautiful and there is lots of space to relax, enjoy nature, reflect and move your body.

the true magic of Soltara is the people - the facilitators are so expert at what they do, kind, compassionate, beautiful humans.

people may question the price but once you go you see it is worth every penny and thensome. I would and will go back and would not consider any other company.

Thank you Soltara for the container you create for us to heal; <3

Outstanding experience
I had an incredible experience at Soltara Healing Center in Costa Rica! The accommodations were impeccable, offering a serene and comfortable space that made it easy to fully relax and unwind. The food was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of high-quality options to suit every taste.

I felt completely safe throughout my stay—from the retreat space itself to interactions with wildlife—which was especially important to me as a mom. The facilitators and shamans were truly exceptional—Sasha, Matthew, Eric, Vivi, and Tati- and the 2 shamans guided the retreat with profound compassion, authenticity, and care. I couldn’t have imagined a more supportive and nurturing team.

Transportation to and from the retreat was seamless and safe, allowing me to focus fully on the experience. Most importantly, I met lifelong friends among the other attendees, which made the retreat even more meaningful. Soltara is a safe, transformative, and heart-opening experience—I can’t recommend it enough AND I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN!!

Return to the Medicine Retreat
This is my second full retreat with Soltara, and I’m always amazed at how wonderful the space and facilitators are. The Playa Blanca location is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, the perfect place for healing. The food is always phenomenal, nourishing, and satisfying. I cannot recommend the Return to the Medicine Retreat enough, if you already have familiarity with the medicine. The extra time afforded to you in the schedule as well as the deep conversations with experienced fellow guests made such a positive impact on my experience, and I’ll remember this week forever. As a POC working through generational, childhood, and sexual trauma, I cannot recommend Soltara enough for having the ability to hold a compassionate and trauma informed space during extremely difficult times. They also provide a variety of helpful resources and integration tools, which have enabled me to make lifelong changes that actually stick. Having heard other experiences at other retreat centers, I know that Soltara is the best choice I could have made to undergo my medicine journey, and I will continue to return as I must. Eternal gratitude.
