About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Soltara at Goddess Falls welcomes you into a space of panoramic wonder, sacred ceremony, and rooted transformation. Located in the Diamante Valley, a region celebrated for its bountiful wildlife, countless waterfalls, and lush rainforest environment. Poised on a ridge within a private nature sanctuary spanning over 200 acres, this location offers sweeping views of the stunning valley below.
Soltara at Goddess Falls offers the same trusted, heart-centered healing you’ve come to know - guided by our Shipibo healers, experienced facilitators, and an unwavering commitment to safety, support, and integrity. Rooted in the wisdom of the Peruvian Shipibo tradition and sacred plant medicine, we also integrate complementary healing practices - both traditional and modern - to support your journey of self-discovery. With decades of collective experience in ceremony and medicine work, our team holds a loving, expertly held space for deep transformation.
Our Commitment To You
We are called to serve medicine in sacred ceremony with integrity, humility, and compassion. By creating a safe space and working only with experienced, well-intentioned healers and facilitators, we uphold the lessons of the medicines and build a foundation of mutual trust, authenticity, and respect. We are not gurus, preachers, or enlightened beings – our healers are maestros who humbly transmit the knowledge and healing energies of the plants, and our facilitators are devoted to helping guests face, process, and explore difficult experiences and emotions, handle projections, manage expectations, and surrender to the process. We strive to uphold the highest integrity in everything we do and be a beacon for responsible, safe, and ethical practices, such that our guests feel safe and supported to get the most out of their healing.

Menu Types

We believe healing even takes place in the kitchen. We take on the mantra by the Greek physician, Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” We honor the role of food in our lives and expand it beyond its primary purpose of bodily nourishment – food can be an avenue to dig deeper into ourselves, consciously looking at our patterns and mindsets surrounding not just what we eat, but how and why we eat what we do. Our eating habits don’t just affect our mental health, they also reflect it. At Soltara, we aim to help you jumpstart this process of connection through conscious cooking on all levels. Diet is an important part of the healing process, both on its own and also to help prepare the mind and body for plant medicine work. We work closely with our shamans to prepare wholesome, delicious meals that adhere to the traditional dietary guidelines of working with ayahuasca. All of our meals are freshly prepared in-house by our loving kitchen staff. From fresh smoothies and juices every morning, to plant-based meals emphasizing local, organic, and sustainable produce, to lean proteins such a chicken and fish, we celebrate the rich local flavor of Costa Rican cuisine, and offer a chance to experience a connection to the land and culture while nourishing the body, mind, and spirit.

Love and safety!!
I cannot put into words how truly amazing Soltara is! I was a solo female traveler and scared to death! However, from the moment I was picked up from the hotel to the moment I was dropped off I didn't not feel anything but love and safety! When we reached the resort, I was greeted with a hug from Jessica. I had done an intake call with her and she knew my anxiety from the start. Her hug put me at ease. ALL of the facilitators are so special! While in ceremony they know exactly what to do to help and when not in ceremony they continue with open hearts and a listening ear. They are truly amazing!! Then there are the Shipibo healers, the Maestros. The work they do is truly something unique! I had read from some people on reddit that you don't need a fancy resort and "healers" - that you only need the medicine. I disagree. The Maestros were and will always be a HUGE part of my healing! When they sing the Icaros you can feel everything become amplified. And when they sing to you you can feel the healing on a whole other level! This place, these people and the healers have truly been a God send. I am beyond grateful for my time and experience at Soltara and I am hoping to go back someday!

Life changing
Soltara was the best decision I ever made in my life. Not only was my experience phenomenal and my personal journey incredibly healing for myself and what felt like generations back for my ancestors, but the guidance the counselors provided was so loving, warm, gentle and yet meanwhile structured in a way that actually helped energy pass through and transform. I also loved that is was 22 people max because it feels so curated and personalized.

The facility itself was gorgeous and I’ve traveled to a lot of top notch jet set places around the world. The food was amazing for having to eat on the “dieta” and I can’t believe how many variations of veggies and fish/chicken etc. Jessie (the chef) can come up with. I don’t even like fish and I ate everything including the fish he cooked! He is so so talented and I already miss his cooking! The room we had was gorgeous and had a view of both the jungle and the ocean. I also loved that it took 5 mins from The Maloca to get to the beach which was amazing to have the sand and the water there to get some grounding in. I felt like after ceremony 3 the ocean baptized me into something entirely new. Surprisingly, even though you are in the jungle, there are almost no bugs. I’m pretty squimish when it comes to those things and I could even lay on the grass outside the maloca under the stars without worry. What’s also beautiful is the way the moonlight hits the maloca during the ceremony nights is perfect. For where my mat was I couldn’t have picked a better viewpoint. It’s also all screened in so no critters can come in even if there ever were to be any!

Also wow. I couldn’t say more positive things about the staff. Jessica, Paula, Leah, Giorgio, and of course the beautiful ray of sunshine Tatiana. They were so knowledgeable and knew exactly what each person needed. They were always there to chat and to listen and not just to hear you speak, but actually deeply listen which was incredible. The rooms got cleaned daily and there’s even laundry service for 2 days during the trip. We had a nice walk in closet as well where we could store our clothes and suitcases.

I also love how they factor in a lot of down time so that you can process your journey and although there is group share, it’s not mandatory that you speak if you’re not feeling it. They respect everyone’s journey and know things are being processed differently.

Finally to the maestors who were phenomenal….i miss their energy already. It’s so funny because they look so serious while they meet you, but really they take their work seriously because moving energy like that is serious and people are going through real trauma that for so many years has deeply effected their life. One of our Maestros Soi, came from a lineage of ancestors of Maestros, and so for him to even become a “shaman” he had to spend 18 months in isolation living in the Amazon jungle amongst nature. So yes, they are the real deal….whats crazy though is even amongst their seriousness is that on the flip side when they sing their Icaros to you, all you feel is love, cared for, and warmth and that they orchestrated an entirely custom lullaby for your soul. I could never imagine doing ayahuasca without the Shipibo Maestros, because really the Icaros is one of the keys in pulling stagnant energy out of your body. I miss Soi and Moises (especially Soi though) so much already and I can’t wait until I feel called again, because I will deff choose Soltara and will never want to go anywhere else. (Side note is that Jake Paul put Soltara in his reality show on tv and said that Soltara is his place of choice….and if Soltara is good enough for him who can choose anywhere…it’s deff good enough for lots of people lol!!!!)

Highly Recommend Soltara
I had a truly beautiful experience at Soltara. It feels like the luxury version of the traditional Shipibo medicine work I love in Peru — while still honoring the depth, integrity, and seriousness of the process.

The grounds are stunning, the facilities are thoughtful and comfortable, and the location by the beach adds a really grounding, healing element to the experience. The entire program is incredibly well designed and intentional — you can feel how much care has gone into every detail.

What really sets Soltara apart is the staff. They are absolute angels — compassionate, present, and supportive around the clock. It’s a well-oiled machine in the best way, which allows you to fully surrender and focus on your healing without worrying about logistics or safety.

There is so much healing offered here in so many different ways, and it’s done with professionalism, heart, and respect for the medicine. I would highly recommend Soltara to anyone seeking a safe, thoughtful, and powerful ayahuasca experience.

Life Changing Experience!
I was called to Ayahuasca years ago but stuggled to get organized enough to go. January 2026 was the magic moment when all stars aligned and I spent 9 beautiful days in Costa Rica! Soltara Retreat property was welcoming and inviting. The staff was very accommodating and kind.. The facilitators and mentors were beautiful souls that had patience and reverence for what we had all come to do. Taking a spiritual journey to obtain a greater understanding of myself is the biggest single decision I have ever made and I felt completely and utterly supported from minute one to exit! From 5 star foods, training and education daily, health checks and yoga. Hands down the best adventure of my life. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!!!

It's the little things
The attention to detail here allows you to really focus on the work. From a guard all night at the Maloca, to a little button you can wear that signals "I'm processing and don't want to talk right now", every little detail is designed to maximize your ability to truly heal.
