Founder of Forest Rock Qigong & The Forest Rock Taiji & Qigong School, Senior Teacher of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Master of Taiji Quan & Qigong, Acupuncturist, Chinese Medical Herbalist, Medical Qigong and Tunia practitioner & published Author.
Creator of this 200-Hour Qigong Teacher Training is Taiji & Qigong Master Teacher Peter Caughey. As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncturist he is the Founder of the Forest Rock Taiji and Qigong School. Pete C is an internationally renowned teacher and TCM Practitioner of 30 years.
In this Training, Peter has put his life’s experience of TCM, Acupuncture clinical studies, and his years of teaching Taiji and Qigong together to create an in-depth Curriculum to bring the understanding of TCM and Qigong to the western world.
Students have had profound life changing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual experiences during these trainings while practicing the art of Qigong.
Peter Larking - Supporting Facilitator
Introducing our other main facilitator of the Training, Pete Larking. He is the only person qualified in the Southern Hemisphere to train others in Neuropuncture, which is the study of neuroscience and acupuncture. This is a new field and Pete L is one of its leaders, having taught bio medical sciences, neurological anatomy, Chinese Medical theory, Tuina, Qigong, Taiji quan and advanced acupuncture systems at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture for over 15 years.

The Level 1 Qi Gong Teacher Training is a 200-hour in-person program held on 1–24 July 2026 in Ubud, Bali. This training is designed for anyone who wants to learn the foundations of Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine and efficient teaching skills in a structured and supportive setting.
Across 24 days you will study four core Qi Gong systems, seven exercise sets and a complete TCM framework including Five Elements theory, meridians, emotional balance and the energetic anatomy of the body. You will also develop practical teaching confidence through daily practice, partnered work and guided practicums.
The training is led by Master Peter Caughey and senior teacher Pete Larking, both long-time practitioners of TCM, acupuncture and Medical Qi Gong. Their teaching approach is accessible, grounded and suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Healthy vegetarian meals are served on training days and participants can choose from several accommodation options at the venue. Three excursions are included in the program, along with a full training manual, a goodie bag and access to three online courses for pre-study and review.
On completion you will receive a 200-hour Level 1 certificate from the Forest Rock Qi Gong School.
