About this Retreat
Taita Jose Mora is a Colombian traditional doctor, shaman and healer of the Cofán tradition.
He is a disciple of Taita Querubín Queta Alvarado, the highest authority of Yagé medicine (Ayahuasca) in Colombia, who passed away on January 2024 in his 111 years old to go back to the Unity.
Taita Jose Mora follows the path of Abuelo Querubín, sharing he medicine of Yagé to expand the knowledge and the teachings that he left him, being in service to humanity in order to help and heal all of those who approach him.
Taita Jose lives in the Putumayo jungle in Colombia and shares medicine there in his land with his family and community.
He has been learning with the plant of Yagé during all his life, and it is a real honor to take medicine with him and experience the healing, knowledge and teachings that he carries.
Originally from Colombia, Gloria is a therapist and phytotherapy practitioner with a deep connection to ancestral plant medicine. Her journey began at a young age in her home country where she started a transformative encounter with plant medicine that healed both body and soul.
After spending time with the Hare Krishna community in Bogotá, Gloria explored the worlds of meditation, yoga, and devotional practice. She later studied pharmaceutical chemistry, which helped her bridge the gap between science and ancestral wisdom.
Today, she dedicates her path to guiding others through ceremonies with teacher plants, that are cultivated with love and intention.
Born in Spain, Emma is a psychologist specialized in systemic therapy and family constellations. After studying neuropsychology, she realized that conventional approaches often struggle to reach the deeper roots of trauma.
Her journey transformed while traveling through Latin America, where she discovered the healing power of master plants and their capacity to awaken the inner wisdom within us.
Since her path crossed with Gloria’s, she has dedicated herself to keep learning and accompanying ceremonies and retreats, creating safe and loving spaces for others to heal, reconnect, and remember who they truly are.
Details of this retreat
The medicine of Yagé (Ayahuasca) is one of pure love, deep healing, and ancestral wisdom. When held with care and good guidance, this teacher plant can support you in healing your mind, body, and soul. It can strengthen your spiritual connection and help you align with your purpose, offering mental clarity and insight.
If you are open and willing to listen, Yagé can provide some of the most profound healing experiences possible. It is an ancestral tool for personal growth that helps you reach the root of your trauma, allowing true understanding and deep healing to begin.
If you have a history of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, or self-destructive patterns—and you are committed to letting go of these conditions—this retreat may be for you. By cleansing the body and mind, turning inward, and listening to the wisdom of the Earth, you may find the tools and understanding to reset and realign your path.
If you are committed to your personal and spiritual growth and feel ready to take a step further in your development—seeking deeper understanding of yourself, your family, your relationships, or even the world, the Earth, and the Universe—this retreat might be the right space for you.
You will be supported by the Femtheogen team and guided by Taita José Mora, who come all the way from the Colombian jungle to share his wisdom and healing.
It is a true honour for us at Femtheogen to organise this retreat with Taita José Mora, disciple of Taita Querubín Queta Alvarado—the highest authority of Yagé medicine, who passed away in January 2023 at the age of 111, after over a century of sharing medicine, healing, and ancestral knowledge.
Taita José continues this sacred legacy. He will leave his jungle home to come to our beautiful farmhouse in Almuñécar, Spain, to offer his healing and share his chants, music, and prayers that support the ceremonies and your personal process.
We will take care of the energy, the space, and the group, ensuring spiritual protection and a safe container for your journey. You will be in good hands.
Additionally, Kambo medicine will be offered during the retreat—a powerful cleansing medicine from the Amazon that complements Ayahuasca ceremonies by helping to detoxify and prepare the body, mind, and spirit.
Throughout the retreat—and both before and after—we at Femtheogen will be here to support you in your process and assist in all communications with Taita José.
Although at Femtheogen we usually work with mushrooms medicine, we have been working with Yagé for several years for our own personal healing and growth. In 2023, we had the opportunity to live for a couple months in the Ukumari Kankhe Indigenous Reserve (Putumayo, Colombia) with Taita Querubín himself. He was the ultimate guardian of Yagé in Colombia and a spiritual leader of the Cofán people. They welcomed us with open arms, and words cannot express the depth of our gratitude. Our way of honouring this gift is to carry and share his teachings with our families, our communities, and through our work. Organising this retreat with his disciple, Taita José Mora, is a way to give more people access to the profound healing of this sacred plant—guided by someone who embodies deep knowledge, humility, and love.
This retreat is not for everyone. It requires trust in the process, willingness to let go, humility to receive the plant’s teachings, and openness to the transformation they can bring.
Yagé, also known as Ayahuasca, is an ancestral Amazonian medicine. Its name means “vine of the soul” in Quechua, referring to the connection with the spirits of wise ancestors. Indigenous elders use it to seek answers from within, to separate and cleanse the soul, and to return it renewed to the body.
Taita José Mora is able to help heal many physical and emotional conditions, if you are willing to surrender and allow the medicine to work. If you have a specific situation or question, feel free to contact us.
In this edition 16th - 18th October, we will welcome both men and women.
