Claire

Keith Allen

For Keith, yoga is about connecting deeper to who we truly are and using the practice to enjoy our lives more. His classes balance a meditative focus with safe alignment. Breath, presence, and leaving space to let the practice feel good in our bodies, is a priority for Keith. He has studied extensively from different teachers, lineages, and styles around the world, and remains a passionate and dedicated student of yoga and meditation. He regularly leads workshops and teacher trainings and is a co-author of The Yoga Fix book, which is a resource of healthy movement patterns. In addition to yoga, Keith is passionate about traveling the world, producing videos, skiing, making art, and enjoying music.

Claire Petretti Marti

Claire Petretti Marti has been practicing, studying, and teaching yoga since 1999. Like many fitness enthusiasts, she was initially drawn to yoga for its physical benefits of strength, balance, and flexibility. Once Claire realized that serenity, peace of mind, and a general sense of happiness were predominant results of the practice, she was hooked. A RYT-500 Yoga Alliance instructor, Claire teaches a dynamic vinyasa flow with the intention of creating a moving meditation. She encourages students to find the lightness and the joy in their own practice, both on and off the mat. She is a certified Pilates instructor, a Reiki Level 2 Practitioner and also holds a NASM-certification for personal training. She has significant experience with spinal injuries and frequently works with students recuperating from injuries. She leads international yoga retreats every year. Mind-body fitness is her passion. In January 2010, Claire was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. Yoga aided her healing throughout treatment and recovery. Learning to live with cancer inspired her to earn her Yoga for Cancer Therapy certification and she now also teaches classes specifically for people living with cancer.

Join YogaDownload instructors Keith Allen and Claire Marti for eight days/seven nights of serenity, yoga, meditation, exploration, adventure, palm-fringed beaches, coconut groves and dense, mountainous rainforests! All while enjoying fresh, healthy, gourmet delights through an unforgettable culinary adventure.

Our retreat will be held at a stunning luxury boutique resort situated at the best end of the stunning Bophut Beach, on the northern coast of Koh Samui. Beautifully nestled between 90 yards of ivory sands and a spectacular coconut grove, this tropical paradise is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to forget everyday worries and enjoy the getaway of a lifetime!

In addition to the many adventures offered on this picturesque island, you will also have an opportunity to let your body and soul be reenergized and rejuvenated at the resort's idyllic spa; an authentic sanctuary of tranquillity that includes ancient treatments and the finest massage therapies. For those that simply cannot pry themselves away from the pristine shoreline, the resort even offers massages at the Beach Sala.

The retreat includes two gourmet meals per day plus three lunches, along with twice daily yoga which is suitable for everyone from beginner to experienced yoga practitioners, - non-yoga participants are welcome too!

Directions

Koh Samui Airport is the nearest airport. The quickest way to get there is to fly to Bangkok then get a connecting flight.
It's also possible to take a boat from Don Sak or Surat Thani on the mainland (1-2 / 2-4 hours respectively); and from the neighbouring islands of Koh Phangan or Koh Tao (1-2 / 2-4 hours respectively).

Accommodation

The 26 suites and villas feature modern decor, enormous king-sized beds, high ceilings and large living spaces. Some rooms offer a large outdoor terrace while others have their own private pool. All are equipped with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and an open-air bathroom with a rainshower.
