3 nights ayahuasca/kambo retreat with MIRA family

Starting with a long phone call with Paula before receiving confirmation for the retreat (to make sure it´s a good fit and to answer all my questions) I was made to feel so absolutely safe, supported and welcomed by the entire team of MIRA every step of the way.
I was picked up from the train station by the lovely woman who owns the house we stayed at and who dedicated herself to care for us like a mother and make us feel at home every second of the retreat. The facilities were absolutely lovely and location was really great, the house is in the middle of nature, which felt so peaceful and there´s nothing more beautiful than being able to witness the sun rise after each ceremony.
Through our sharing circles I know, that very single person in the group had a profound experience that felt like it deeply changed them and my personal experience was more than I could have ever hoped for.
I was dealing with a lot of resistance during the first two ceremonies, so much that I am sure it was very difficult to deal with me and Paula, Javi, Dani and Taita Samith each showed me so much grace and helped me so patiently in their very own way in finding the trust to surrender to the medicine so she could give me exactly what I didn´t know I needed.
On the morning after the first ceremony, I had my first encounter with Kambo. I was the only person wanting to participate on that day while many others decided for the day after so I offered to join them to not cause any inconvenience. Paula and Javi decided to do the ceremony anyway, just with me. Letting myself being cared for by these two very special humans, having their full attention and accepting and surrendering to all of it was a moment of profound healing in and of itself for me, who is so used to always care for others.
It is very difficult to find a retreat that is authentic, decolonial and not rooted in the commercialization of the indigenous culture, and it is almost impossible to do so in Europe. Believe me, I have searched for quite some time. Vision MIRA is just that. I left with deep gratitude, wonder and profound appreciation for the chance of having been in the presence of such immense indigenous wisdom and love and I am humbled by the dedication put forth by the whole team in bringing healing to those who seek it. I will be returning with absolute certainty.
The beautiful humans of Vision MIRA have created something truly amazing and special and I fully and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

This unique retreat was a life changing experience for me - courtesy of everyone at Mira and Taita Samith! It was my first retreat of this kind and it certainly won't be the last - my journey is only just beginning. Many thanks indeed to Xavi, Paula and Dani for all the hard work and dedication you put in, which made it very special indeed.

The facilities and the location were excellent, as was the plentiful and delicious food served at each breakfast and lunch. The enchanting and authentic Cofán tradition ceremonies led by Taita Samith Osorio with Dani, were surprising, mysterious, and amazing - and we were well looked after by Paula and Xavi. The Icaro music and singing played during the ceremonies was quite beautiful, which made each one a very special and magical event.

I am delighted and very satisfied with the Mira retreat experience, and how all aspects of it were well organised. I recommend Mira wholeheartedly – it was truly wonderful and unforgettable.

I had three ceremonies with Mira Vision and it has been the greatest growth in this short span of time, of my life. Wonderful people, I will definitively return as soon as possible. Yage (ayahuasca) has intelligence hard to believe or understand without direct experience, it will change you life for the better, if you dare surrender to its wisdom. He tingut tres cerimònies amb Mira Vision i ha estat el creixement més gran que he tingut en la meva vida en aquest curt lapse de temps (3 nits). Totes les persones amb qui m'he relacionat són meravelloses; hi tornaré definitivament al més aviat possible. El yage (ayahuasca) té una intel·ligència difícil de creure o entendre sense experiència directa; si t'atreveixes a rendir-te a la seva saviesa, et canviarà la vida per a millor. It was an unforgettable experience! I was totally green that's why I had a wrong perspective and my doubts but with help of Mira family I left being a new person - well, at least better version of me:) All members are very caring, kind, interesting people with experience and great knowledge. They are so devoted to what they do. I was lucky to find this retreat accidentally and got my first experience with medicine there. You can be sure: no matter what they will take care of you. I felt the call strongly and wanted to go to the jungle but my life situation had made it impossible at so many levels. If it was going to be done, it had to be in Europe. However, I didn’t want a psychotherapy based, western-style retreat either. As such, I feel particularly lucky to have found this wonderful group of healers. The Mira family are a small group of South Americans and Europeans working in the indigenous Colombian Cofan tradition and they have managed to seamlessly blend their cultural influences. Their music, their love, their medicine and their commitment make magic happen. I’m not a young woman but I never felt out of place and always felt valued.
It should be said that as much as they give their love and dedication to the work, they expect the same from their participants and believe, indeed rightly, that without the personal commitment to healing, the transformation cannot take place. This is no spectator sport, be prepared to navigate your personal waters, the ride isn’t always a comfortable one, but you can rely on these people to hold and support you if the going gets rough. I thoroughly recommend their retreats without hesitation.
