About this Retreat
Dr. Manjusha Coonjan is a general practitioner, yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and life coach. Her personal experience of treating physical and mental-emotional health problems through yoga has motivated her to deepen her knowledge in this field by attending further training in yoga and therapy. As a spiritual seeker, she has been practising a variety of meditation techniques as well as being initiated into the Eastern practices of the Divine Mother in Shree Vidya and 21 Taras. Dr Manjusha provides a nurturing environment for her patients, extending a silent space with an attentive ear in empathy. She authentically reflects her patient's actual self and helps them remove the obstacles towards their inner growth. She will be in charge of the philosophical understanding, meditation techniques and individual life coaching sessions.
Certified Yoga Instructor and Wellness Advocate. With over 30 years in healthcare as an experienced nurse and 3 years as a dedicated yoga instructor, Simla is passionate about guiding individuals toward holistic wellness. She blends traditional practices with modern techniques to foster a balanced experience. She views yoga as a transformative tool, creating a nurturing space for all levels to explore their potential through mindful movement and breath work. With a strong foundation in human anatomy, Simla prioritises safety and continuously expands her expertise through workshops. Join her on the mat for a journey of self-discovery and inner peace, where we cultivate mindfulness, flexibility, and community. Let’s embrace the transformative power of yoga together.
Details of this retreat
Easy yoga practice. Nature immersion. Cultural tour. All optional. Participate at your own pace, alone, with a buddy or your sweetheart for great intimate moments shared in wellness or why not as a group of friends or family for a healthy stay on a tropical paradise island.
Enjoy a full-on ecotourist retreat where your day starts with a comfortable yoga practice (or time alone) followed by long walks in awesome nature spots in our endemic tropical forest on Mauritius island. Come back to relax on the white sandy beach and have a dip in the safe turquoise lagoon protected by coral reefs and nurtured by the Indian Ocean, finishing the day with a breathtaking sunset. On the third day, we’ll dab in the Mauritian cultural roots with a visit to our capital city of Port Louis, led by our facilitators.
We have tried to bring the most out of the retreat in a gist of 5 days where you can take care of yourself, enjoy the sea, forest, rivers and waterfalls as well as have a tour in the capital city of Mauritius to get a short but sweet experience of the Mauritian culture. It is a good start for your stay in Mauritius where you can experience much more.
