3 Day Silent Immersive Women's Retreat in Hudson Valley, NY, US

Be in community and in silence together. Whether a solo traveler or with a friend, these small group Silent Retreats are very special & unique experiences of condensed time that allow for a true break from normal routine. This silent retreat is ideal for small groups (4-10) of women with time for introspection, rest, and recharge in the community. *(We may have smaller groups).


These retreats include well-being activities & exercises, offering relaxation, introspection, being present, and self-connection - leading to transformation. Daily healthy smoothies & hatha yoga & meditation sessions. Meal prep activity in silence.

This retreat offers a unique experience to be with others in silence, away from technology, and in a natural, low footprint ecologically friendly environment. We ask that you do not use a phone or computer during your stay and immerse yourself in a new powerful experience!

Get back to basics & develop a mindful practice, have time to reflect and think deeply, unpack and explore other parts of yourself in a quiet space.

Retreats are offed monthly. We like to chat with you before booking & final registration, so contact us! We may offer a brief Zoom meeting before the final payment to ensure a good fit. Completed registration (all paperwork) and payment are due two weeks before the retreat starts. *(Please note: These wellness retreats are not therapy).


Your retreat guide, Dr. Carla, is a licensed clinical psychologist (her other "hat" when she is not running retreats). She has over 30 years of experience working with people and is excited to bring her positive energy to these retreats.

Located in the beautiful countryside of Hudson Valley, NY. We are nestled near 2 nature preserves with over 8000 acres of Old Forest Trails.

Beautiful Hudson Valley, New York. Rosendale, in ulster county. Near NYS thruway and a 1.5 - 2 hour car/bus/train from NYC.

From Penn station, take the Bus to New Paltz, then a short taxi to the Rosendale Center. Or from Grand Central take the Metro North train to Poughkeepsie and bus/taxi to Rosendale.

Accommodation

King David for 1 person: (where main activities will be held downstairs). Private room for 1 person, queen bed, full bath, desk, seating areas, skylight, 1 glass door off the bedroom to deck with a large wind chime. Must be able to climb steep stairs like in a brownstone. Queen bed upstairs, downstairs bathroom and living space. Please do not use the kitchen or eat in rooms. Food only in the main retreat space. Must climb steep stairs like in a brownstone. *Regional springs and minerals. At the base of the "gunks" we have natural springs & mineral deposits. There is non-harmful sulfur in the regional water. We do use a filter; however, you may experience an odor. Artist designed loft interior. This unique rustic roost with its converted farm motif was designed and built by artist Hans Van de Bovenkamp. Formerly entitled "the coop," it has a European cut-out loft-style open interior with high ceilings, skylights, and many glass doors allowing lots of natural light. It has maintained its original bird theme, incorporating a love of nature, simplicity, and sanctuaries. The "Buddha room" is reserved for those who do not want to climb stairs with a queen futon couch/bed downstairs, full bath and private porch. The "Sophia room" up to 4+ people with two twin beds, one queen bedroom one full bath and one half bath downstairs with large living space, table, stretching area, deck and sleeper small couch. The "Ocean room" has one queen bed upstairs, bath downstairs and a porch area. Very large King David (additional fee) room has one queen bed upstairs, balcony off the bedroom, full bath, open kitchen, and large common space for group meetings. All have steep staircases (similar to inside a brownstone), high ceilings, full baths, yoga mats, and exercise balls for stretching, meditation, and relaxing. Essential oils and Emergency medical kits, tea, and Brita filters, as well as the local well water, contain nonharmful sulfur. The center allows for bright natural light with many sliding glass doors and skylights. Birds are fed and can be very friendly if you are still enough for them to come close to you, one may land on you. Clean sheets and towels will be provided. This is a modest space purposefully hoping to coexist smoothly with nature. We aspire to be as Green as possible and encourage others as well in this space (ie. composting, limiting waste, conserving energy, leaving patches of wild plants - strawberries, black caps, grapes, thyme), not mowing all areas etc. In the Feng shui tradition, please no outside shoes indoors, and in keeping with our mindfulness practice, I ask that you leave the center clean and in good condition.
