About this Retreat
Kelly Chripczuk is a Spiritual Director, Writer, and Retreat Leader. She holds a BA in Biblical Studies and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. Kelly completed Spiritual Direction training in 2014 and meets with directees in-person and on-line. She is also the author of two poetry collections and a short memoir. Kelly finds contemplative writing practices to be a source of connection that deepen awareness and awaken us to the hidden wholeness that glimmers beneath the surface of existence. She lives on a small farm in Boiling Springs with her spouse, four children, and way too many pets. Visit her website: www.thiscontemplativelife.org to learn more.
Details of this retreat
“There is a door we all want to walk through, and writing can help you find it and open it. …it can get you to start paying attention, can help you soften, can wake you up.” Anne Lamott in Bird by Bird
Come explore the joys of writing as a spiritual practice. Discover how writing tunes attention and deepens faith while gaining encouragement for your own writing practice. Time will be spent in group sharing as well as private reflection and writing practices. Whether you have a regular writing practice or are simply feeling the nudge to try something new, this retreat is open to you. Participants will want to bring something to write in, writing utensils, and a curious and open spirit.
