About this Retreat
At 71, Jorge brings the profound presence and steady authority of a true elder to our retreat. Originally from Marajó Island in the Amazon, he has spent the last 25 years in Vale do Capão, where he serves as a bridge between his innate forest wisdom and a lifetime of study in Hermeticism and esoteric medicine.
As an alchemist and an initiate in the Santo Daime tradition (Unified Lineage of Chandra Lacombe), Jorge carries over two decades of experience serving the medicine within his community. His work is defined by depth and clarity, offering a rare level of guidance to those seeking genuine personal transformation.
Jorge is the heart of our ceremonial leadership, representing the strength of Brazilian traditions and a life rooted in the wisdom of nature. He will be present throughout the retreat, providing constant support and individual sessions with a character that is as kind as it is powerful.
Paul accompanies participants throughout the retreat with presence, warmth, and lightness.
He guides daily practices in yoga (accessible to all levels), mindfulness meditation, and breathwork, while offering grounded ceremonial support built on more than 15 years of experience.
Originally from London, Paul felt a deep call to step away from the conventional path and seek greater meaning and purpose. During a solo journey through Brazil in 2009, he encountered ayahuasca and experienced a profound inner transformation — an awakening that inspired him to create a sanctuary where others could safely explore their own healing and self-discovery.
As the founder of Eden, Paul has facilitated transformational retreats across Brazil and Europe for over 15 years. His work is dedicated to creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and invited to reconnect with their essence.
Paul’s apprenticeship with ayahuasca began in 2008 under the guidance of a native ayahuasquero, leading to a three-year intensive shamanic training. In 2011, he became an initiate of the Santo Daime tradition in the community of Mapiá, deep in the Amazon — a lineage that continues to inform his work with reverence, integrity, and devotion.
Isa offers ceremonial support throughout the retreat, singing during the ceremonies and bringing a vibrant, expressive energy to the space through her voice and musical presence.
She also facilitates Circle Music Therapy sessions and guides the Heart Opening Ceremony with cacao, leading a circle of healing through music, rhythm, movement, and dance — creating a space for connection, expression, and emotional release.
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, she has lived in Brazil since 2013 and brings a rich multicultural background to her work with music, voice, and healing.
With over 20 years of experience, Isa is a singer, percussionist, composer, voice coach, improviser, and cultural producer. She is the creator of CantaqueteCura (“Sing for Your Healing”), a project dedicated to exploring the transformative power of voice in individual and collective processes.
Since 2003, she has travelled extensively as a singer and percussionist, sharing her work across festivals and gatherings in Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Switzerland.
With warmth, creativity, and depth, Isa invites participants into a space where music becomes a pathway for connection, expression, and healing.
Martina offers ceremonial support throughout the retreat, holding the space through her presence and sacred ceremonial singing, which gently guides and deepens the experience.
Born and raised in Pergamino, Argentina, she studied Music Therapy at the University of Rosario before following her calling to Brazil.
In 2012, she moved to Vale do Capão, where she has spent over a decade immersed in the study and practice of Ayurveda. She offers individual Ayurvedic massage sessions during the retreat, supporting balance, relaxation, and integration on a physical and energetic level.
Her path with plant medicine began in 2016 in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where she spent time studying traditional medicine songs and deepening her connection with the healing traditions of the Amazon.
With a grounded and caring presence, Martina brings together voice, touch, and intuitive sensitivity to support each participant’s journey.
Details of this retreat
Restart is not just a retreat — it is a journey back to who you truly are.
Over 5 transformative days in the heart of Brazil’s Chapada Diamantina mountains, you will step away from the noise of everyday life and enter a space dedicated to deep healing, clarity, and inner discovery.
Through three traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies, Kambô sessions, yoga, breathwork, meditation, sauna sessions, and integration circles, the retreat gently guides you inward — helping you reconnect with your truth, release what no longer serves you, and rediscover your authentic path.
Nature becomes an essential part of the journey. Eden Sanctuary is surrounded by the extraordinary landscapes of Chapada Diamantina, where nature is not just scenery but a constant presence supporting the process. During the retreat, we visit nearby rivers and waterfalls, allowing the freshness and power of these natural waters to cleanse, ground, and renew the body and mind.
Your stay is always held in comfort. Participants enjoy modern accommodation designed for rest and tranquility, along with nourishing meals prepared with fresh ingredients. Our kitchen offers wholesome, conscious food suitable for different dietary needs, helping support the body throughout the retreat experience.
Held by an experienced and caring team, Restart offers a safe, respectful space where ancestral wisdom meets modern self-development. Many participants describe this journey as a profound turning point in their lives.

What is Ayahuasca?
Ayahuasca is a sacred plant medicine traditionally prepared from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the Psychotria viridis leaf. Used for centuries in Indigenous Amazonian traditions, it is known as a powerful tool for spiritual insight, emotional healing, and deep self-reflection.
The word Ayahuasca comes from the Quechua language and is often translated as “vine of the soul.”
During ceremonies, participants may enter states of heightened awareness and introspection. These experiences can help individuals gain clarity, process unresolved emotions, and reconnect with deeper aspects of themselves.
For many people, the experience becomes a catalyst for healing, personal insight, and meaningful transformation.
Benefits Reported by Participants
While each journey is unique, participants often report:
Greater emotional clarity and self-awareness
New perspectives on personal challenges
Processing of past emotional wounds
Reduced anxiety and improved inner balance
Renewed sense of purpose and direction
Greater connection with nature and life
While the experience can be challenging at times, many participants describe it as one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences of their lives.
Participant Screening Process - Safety is our highest priority.
All participants complete a detailed intake form covering medical history, medications, and psychological background. This information is carefully reviewed by our team before participation is confirmed.
Individuals with contraindicated medical conditions (such as serious heart conditions, severe hypertension, or a history of psychosis) or those taking incompatible medications (such as certain antidepressants) cannot participate.
When necessary, follow-up conversations are conducted to ensure responsible participation.
Preparation Guidelines
Participants receive clear preparation guidelines before the retreat.
This includes a recommended preparation period involving dietary adjustments and lifestyle practices designed to support the ceremonial process. These preparations help align body, mind, and spirit with the work of the plant medicine and honor traditional Amazonian practices.
Participants also receive preparation materials to support emotional readiness and intention-setting.
Plant Medicine Sourcing
The Ayahuasca used in our ceremonies is prepared in the Amazonian community of Mapiá, following traditional methods and prayers by an experienced master brewer connected to the Santo Daime tradition.
We maintain a respectful and long-standing relationship with this lineage, ensuring ethical sourcing, sustainability, and fair reciprocity.
The medicine is handled with great care and reverence throughout the entire process.
Safety and Emergency Protocols
Our team includes members trained in first aid, and we maintain clear emergency procedures at all times.
The retreat location has access to nearby medical facilities, and transportation is available should urgent care ever be required.
Participants are informed about these protocols during the retreat orientation.
Integration Support
Integration is a fundamental part of the retreat experience.
During the retreat, participants take part in sharing circles and guided integration practices designed to help process and embody their experiences.
After the retreat, participants are invited to online integration sessions and can request additional one-on-one support if needed.
We also maintain a private online community where participants can stay connected and continue supporting each other on their path.
