About this Retreat
Metsa Yaka was born in Germany in 1985. Since a very young age she felt drawn to the mystics of the Universe and started seeking for truth.
As she had her first Plant Medicine experience, she felt this old connection to the realm of the plants and went through an intense out of body initiation process to her path as medicine women.
The next years she went herself on a profound healing journey out of depressions and anxiety guided and supported by the sacred medicine.
In 2016 she became initiated by her teacher Inkanima in the Shipibo-Conibo lineage of his grandparrents abuelo Inkanima and abuela Ronin Wesna. She received her medicine name Metsa Yaka and started studying in various Master Plants dietas.
A big part in her life is her very strong connection to the Animal- and especially the Horse Medicine. They have accompanied her, her whole life as loving friends, wise teachers and important guides to her.
In 2017 she felt more and more called to the work with women, to support them on their very own way to liberation and deep connection within – the first Medicine Women’s Circle came to life.
With her deep, innate intuition, Metsa Yaka holds a space of clarity, love and allowance. She supports people to become present with themselves, reconnecting with their essence and inner wisdom.
As a channel for the Wisdom of Horses, Animals and the Plant Medicine, she offers a profound understanding of the teachings they impart, weaving together the threads of a deeper, holistic truth.
Through her presence and guidance, she accompanies others on their path of healing and transformation, creating a sacred space where true inner change can unfold.
Metsa Yaka is Founder of Medicina Feminina, Rao Caballo and Co-Founder of the Non-Profit-Association Visiones and the in Spain based Retreat Center Cinco Lunas.
Details of this retreat
I'm super excited and with a sparkling heart to opening the doors for the first Rao Caballo – Horse Medicine Retreat this summer – for all those who are seeking a deeper connection and understanding of Horses, Animals & of Themselves.
I warmly invite you to join us on a journey into the world of Horses, to discover the language of energy and to reconnect with your own true, unique nature.
You will spend a week with my 4 amazing Horses, as well as with my other animal companions as your teachers and guides and work with the Plant Medicine Spirits in the form of Cacao and Rapé in the peaceful and beautiful environment of the Natural Park, where we are living.
Maybe you already have a horse and are looking for a new approach, or facing challenges in your relationship.
Maybe you work with horses or animals and want to deepen your connection and understand.
Maybe you have long desired a holistic, authentic and natural approach to being with horses and growing with them.
Maybe you simply long to be in contact with horses again, to be in nature and to reconnect with yourself.
With the understanding and immersion in the three principles (see below) you will be initiated into a conscious path with the horse and into the transformative horse medicine.
You will come to see the horses, the animals and the spirits as your guides and learn to understand their language.
An important part of enabling this immersion is to go into your own inner process. To do this, we will together create a held, present and loving space for everything that wants to emerge within you. For all that needs to be felt, released and transformed in order to get the energies flowing and uncover a deeper access within yourself.
Part of the retreat includes not only horse and animal medicine, but also the loving Spirit of Cacao – through two Cacao Breathwork Ceremonies, the purifying medicine of Rapé in the form of a Rapé Ceremony, as well as a Canyon Cleansing Ritual with Medicine Walk.
Within our daily “Inner Work” sessions I support you in your process with various elements the inner work.
And of course there will be deliciously yummy, healthy, vegan food.
In this week you will definitely gain new insights and inspiration for yourself and also for your own horse or animals.
You will gain a deeper understanding of horses… and of Yourself.
The path of Horse Medicine involves a journey of self-discovery, the journey to your true Self.
You are welcome with all that is.
I'm looking forward to welcome you in our little herd.
The Three Principles:
1. Equine Language
We will explore horses language and how they communicate on physical, mental and energetic levels, their basic needs and delve into the workings of horse psychology.
By honing our awareness and observation skills, we can gain deep insights into their behavior, language and individual personalities.
+ the element of Animal Communication
This is a beautiful and enriching way to deepen your connection with a horse or any other animal.
You will learn or deepen the ability to connect with the soul of the animal to receive informations and answers and to read from the energy field of the animal.
Together we will discover your unique way of receiving informations, streghtening your intuitive access to the metaphysical world.
2. Fundamentals of Communication
The foundation of communication is based on energy and body language, focusing on becoming more present with ourselves and developing a deep understanding of our energetic and physical bodies.
A communication is already happening by just being in the environment of horses. Horses are incredible sensitive to energetic vibrations in their field and they are “reading” constantly their surrounds, so they are “reading” us. A horse can hear the heartbeat of a human from over on meter away, while already sensing and feeling the energy of the person long before that – from that moment on communication has already begun.
If we can bring our mind, emotional body and physical body into harmony, based in the right intentions, we will radiate a clear, tustworthy and understandable energy as the core for communication.
Horses teaches us to become more present, clearer and refined with ourself and our expression, bringing our physical-, energetic,- and mental body into alignment, so that they work in harmony.
3. The Horse as Mirror
The horse, more than any other animal, is the first to perceive our emotional body. From the moment we interact with horse, it will always mirror our energetic system in its behaviour.
It will reflect our inherent, deep-seated issues, our blockages… our trauma. This enables us to pin point on what we have to work on in order to heal and grow from it.
Horses have a incredible compassionate, non-jugdemental nature toward us humans and a Horse always is seeking your highest potential in you – your authentic power.
On a spiritual level, the horse acts as a guardian of your heart´s path, symbolizing freedom, guiding you towards your personal power, while also connecting you more deeply with your intuition and sensitivity. If you are ready to embrace it, it will guide you on the profound and meaningful journey to your true Self and your deepest desires and dreams.
Ceremonies and Additional Sessions:
Cacao Breathwork Ceremony
Cacao Ceremonies are originated all the way back to the ancient Mayan and Aztec traditions of Central and South America, where the spirit of Cacao, known as Mama Cacao, was honored and invoked in sacred ceremonies.
Her medicine was revered for opening the heart, bringing clarity, restoring inner harmony and connecting us to the wellspring of our creativity. The heart-opening essence of Cacao has the power to unlock states of pure euphoria, releasing emotions long held within. It invites us to connect with our higher Self, our inner wisdom and the loving energy flowing through our bodies, while gently calming the mind.
For centuries, Cacao has been used as a sacred tool for healing the mental, physical, and spiritual body.
Through “Conscious Connected Breathing“, we transcend the limitations of the mind, increasing the flow of oxygen to the brain and throughout the bloodstream.
This breath activates our neural pathways and releases hormones such as Anandamides, often called the “Bliss Hormones”, guiding us into a space of profound peace. From this place of connection and relaxation, stress, anxiety and repressed emotions can be released and our awareness and creativity are heightened. In the stillness, we come into a deep sense of inner peace, love and compassion, allowing our true being to emerge.
The sacred Medicines of Cacao and Breath are a powerful combination, leading us into deep layers of healing and transformation, guiding us to a place of greater clarity, authenticity and profound connection.
“Our breathing is the direct connection to pure consciousness.”
Rapé Ceremony
Rapé (pronounced Hapee) is a sacred plant medicine, revered for its profound healing, purifying, and centering properties. For centuries, it has been used by indigenous tribes in Brazil, such as the Huni Kuin, Yawanawa and Nukini, as a tool for spiritual awakening and deep inner transformation. The indigenous peoples often sought Rapé before going out on a hunt, as a way to connect with the spirit of the animal, seeking allowance, guidance and harmony with the natural world.
Rapé is a finely ground mixture of Mapacho tobacco, combined with ash and other medicinal plants. It is ceremonially blown into the nose through a bamboo tube known as a Tepi. This powerful medicine works on both the physical and energetic levels, cleansing the body, clearing the mind, and purifying the consciousness. It opens the heart, calms the mental chatter, and clears the pineal gland, allowing for deeper spiritual connection and clarity.
Rapé is especially effective in supporting focus and concentration, making it an invaluable ally for meditation and introspection. It is often shared before or during other Plant Medicine ceremonies and rituals creating a sacred space of focus and presence or in a more elaborate individual ceremoy.
