Hi, I’m Augusto Flores, a local facilitator and retreat coordinator based in the Peruvian Amazon (Iquitos region). At Ayaymama Mystic, my role is to support guests before, during, and after the retreat—helping with clear communication, preparation guidance, logistics, and overall care throughout the process. We work with small groups to keep the experience personal and safe. I help coordinate transportation, accommodation, meals, and the daily schedule, and I’m available to assist participants with questions and support throughout their stay. Our ceremonies are led by experienced local healers, and we approach this work with deep respect for tradition, safety, and participant well-being. If you’re considering a retreat, I’m happy to help you understand the process and choose the program length that best fits your needs.

Lisbiño

At 65 years old, Senior Lisbino has walked the path of plant medicine for more than four decades. He began his ayahuasca dieta at 22, learning directly from the spirits of the jungle. By 25, he had started to heal others – treating not just the body, but the soul. Throughout his life, Lisbino has helped people suffering from diabetes, malaria, snake bites, and even illnesses beyond the physical – including bad spirits, witchcraft, and energy imbalances. People come to him not just for medicine, but for clarity, for connection, and for something deeper they might not even have words for.

Details of this retreat

Welcome to Ayaymama Mystic, a small local retreat center in the Amazon jungle near Iquitos, Peru. We offer a traditional Ayahuasca experience guided by local Amazonian healers and supported by experienced facilitators, with personalized care in a small group setting.

Location: We are located in the rural community of San Pedro, by the Nanay River, near Iquitos (Loreto, Peru).

Our approach: We focus on safety, respectful tradition, preparation, and integration.

Program (7 days / 6 nights)
This retreat includes 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies, a Flower Bath, Kambo, and a medicinal mud bath, plus gentle jungle hiking on non-ceremony days for grounding and integration. You stay in a private jungle room with access to clean water, basic electricity, and 3 nutritious meals per day.

Guide & transport
Transport from Iquitos is included. River levels and weather may affect access to some activities.

Not included
Entrance fees/tickets (when applicable), community donations, souvenirs/handicrafts, and personal purchases are paid by the guest.

Schedule

- 14:00 – Integration support / sharing circle (when scheduled)
- 16:30 – Free time / nature walk (optional)
- 18:00 – Light snack (on non-ceremony days)
- 19:30 – Ayahuasca ceremony (on scheduled ceremony nights)
- Next morning – Rest and gentle recovery

Getting Here

Directions

We are located near the city of Iquitos, Peru. There are daily flights from Lima to Iquitos (IQT). We recommend arriving in Iquitos at least one day before the start of your retreat, and scheduling your departure at least one day after the end of your retreat.

Pickup and drop-off are included from Iquitos airport, your hotel, or a designated meeting point in the city. One meeting point option is a restaurant located at Yavari 1250 (in front of “Parque Zonal”). We will confirm the exact pickup time and location after booking.

Travel to the retreat center is done in three steps:

1. Tuk-tuk to Rumo Cocha Port (approx. 20 minutes)
2. Boat to San Pedro village (approx. 30 minutes)
3. Walk to Ayaymama Mystic (approx. 20 minutes)

After your retreat, we will drop you off in Iquitos (airport, hotel, or meeting point).

Accommodation

We have 8 huts (Tambos or rooms) on our property. Each guest has a single-person wooden house with a mattress, blankets, towel, soap, candles, hammock and mosquito net. There is a large communal houses with a shared space for workshops, a kitchen available for everyone, an eco shower and a shared toilet. We have limited electricity from solar panels & collect water for washing from a small lake. Our drinking water is from a deep well using a specialized filter for clean, safe, delicious water. We try to live as close to nature as possible.

Amazing experience.

To say how much I love this place is an understatement. Each person‘s Ayawaska experience is individual so I can’t rate that. But the people the simplicity, the care was outstanding. I have sincerely invited members of the staff to visit me in America and to stay with me if they get a chance. I don’t know what else I could say.

Life changing experience

Had a really nice stay at this retreat. Did the 7 days 3 ceremonies. The diet was the hardest part for me but other than that I recommend this center. Jeremiah helps a lot in others self development throughout the week. The shaman is great. Very nice group.

Just spent a few days at this fantastic retreat with soft beds, flush toilet, running shower water and delicious home cooked food. The staff are mostly bilingual with Spanish and English as primary languages. You participate in a variety of activities such as swimming, hiking, painting and ancient ceremonies. I would highly recommend this retreat.
