About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

At Yachay Wasi, we welcome you to a sacred space held by three generations of Amazonian healers. Nestled deep in the lush jungle of Iquique, Peru, our family-run center offers intimate retreats rooted in the wisdom of ancestral traditions and guided with genuine care.

Our 8-day, 7-night retreat includes four authentic Ayahuasca ceremonies, held in a traditional maloka and led by experienced shamans with decades of dedication to the medicine path. These ceremonies are more than rituals — they are gateways to emotional release, spiritual insight, and deep personal transformation.

Between ceremonies, we provide integration circles, personalized shamanic treatments, and nourishing meals prepared with love. Guests stay in simple, comfortable wooden bungalows with private bathrooms, surrounded by the sounds and spirit of the Amazon rainforest.

We are not a commercial retreat — we are a family in service to the plants and to your healing. Whether you are seeking clarity, emotional healing, or a reconnection to your essence, we invite you to walk this path with us in trust and humility.

At Yachay Wasi, you are not just a guest — you are part of something sacred.

Experience of a Lifetime
The experience I had at Yachay Wasi was truly a once in a lifetime experience which I will always remember.

Alix, Winistar and Junior all made me feel very safe and welcome throughout the week which given the nature of the retreat was essential to having a great experience.

The places of residence are excellent especially considering you are in the heart of the Amazon and the surroundings are exceptional which you can look at from your room without getting bit by bugs.

The staff go above and beyond with how they understand the delicate nature of the process and are not over bearing but are still there to talk as well. We also went to a beautiful butterfly conservation place and had some great knowledge given to us of all the plants uses by a walk through the jungle.

I wish Winistar, Junior & Alix the best of luck in the future with the developing of this wonderfully sacred place!

Absolutely Life changing
It is quite difficult to put into words my personal experience but what i can say it was everything i hoped for and more... Something that has definitely changed me for the better. To get to the retreat we had a boat ride on the amazon for several hours from Iquitos then a 30 min walk into the jungle. The scenery is amazing, the constant noise of the wildlife is so relaxing, i felt at home the minute i arrived. The set up they have is better than expected with sink, toilet and shower available along with your bed and a hammock which i used every day. I have been to retreat previously in Spain which was good but you cannot compare the 2. The experience of being in the Jungle with a traditional approach passed down through 5 generations was exactly what was required. I was made to feel completely welcome with as much or little interaction as i required. The experience was what i needed and it was perfect, i would definitely recommend the retreat to anyone 100% from me .....Life Changing
