Directions

Getting to Yachay Wasi: Reaching Yachay Wasi is part of the journey—an immersion into the heart of the Peruvian Amazon that begins with your arrival in Iquitos, the largest city in the world unreachable by road. International Arrival The nearest international airport is Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, Peru. From there, take a domestic flight to Iquitos. Local Connection Several airlines offer daily flights from Lima to Iquitos International Airport (IQT). The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. We recommend booking a flight the day before the retreat so we can get to the center without rush on the day of the start of the retreat. Boat Transfer to Yachay Wasi Upon arrival in Iquitos, our team will meet you and guide you to the port. From there, you’ll travel by motorized canoe—a scenic and peaceful 1.5 to 2-hour ride through the jungle rivers to our retreat center, located in the small riverside community of Iquique. Immersed in Nature Yachay Wasi is fully surrounded by the Amazon rainforest. The journey to get here helps guests disconnect from the modern world and begin their process of inner connection, healing, and presence. If needed, we’re happy to recommend trusted drivers, local accommodations in Iquitos for overnight stays, or help coordinate your journey. Just let us know your itinerary and we’ll assist every step of the way.

Experience of a Lifetime
The experience I had at Yachay Wasi was truly a once in a lifetime experience which I will always remember.

Alix, Winistar and Junior all made me feel very safe and welcome throughout the week which given the nature of the retreat was essential to having a great experience.

The places of residence are excellent especially considering you are in the heart of the Amazon and the surroundings are exceptional which you can look at from your room without getting bit by bugs.

The staff go above and beyond with how they understand the delicate nature of the process and are not over bearing but are still there to talk as well. We also went to a beautiful butterfly conservation place and had some great knowledge given to us of all the plants uses by a walk through the jungle.

I wish Winistar, Junior & Alix the best of luck in the future with the developing of this wonderfully sacred place!

Absolutely Life changing
It is quite difficult to put into words my personal experience but what i can say it was everything i hoped for and more... Something that has definitely changed me for the better. To get to the retreat we had a boat ride on the amazon for several hours from Iquitos then a 30 min walk into the jungle. The scenery is amazing, the constant noise of the wildlife is so relaxing, i felt at home the minute i arrived. The set up they have is better than expected with sink, toilet and shower available along with your bed and a hammock which i used every day. I have been to retreat previously in Spain which was good but you cannot compare the 2. The experience of being in the Jungle with a traditional approach passed down through 5 generations was exactly what was required. I was made to feel completely welcome with as much or little interaction as i required. The experience was what i needed and it was perfect, i would definitely recommend the retreat to anyone 100% from me .....Life Changing
