To not leave us dissatisfied dr alvarius was sure to make ammends by offering us a few things on the house which was a great gesture. "I had such an incredible experience at Casa Arkaana. I was looking to get back in touch with myself, open up, and heal. And I was able to do all of that and more gained a new family in the process. Asdru, Maya, and Marco were so amazing and planned the retreat with such care and intentionality. It was such a beautiful experience and one that I’m so glad I made the decision to go to. Not only did we try a variety of healing medicines, but also integrated jungle walks, cenotes, yoga, breath work, and amazing healthy and delicious meals. Just a great container for healing. I wasn’t sure what to expect when going to Casa Arkaana for their Ancestral Spirits retreat, and had reached out over email and then talked on the phone with them to be comfortable making the decision to go given the lack of reviews. Asdru, who lives on the property with his wife Maya and daughter, was so kind and comforting over the phone, and talked with me for over an hour answering all my questions. Once I arrived the veranda room was clean and nice accommodation, and they’ve built a beautiful common space to hang with the other guests during the retreat. Also anything I needed they were quick to provide and so helpful throughout. If you’re looking for a retreat where the hosts truly care and want to build a personal connection with them, this is the right one for you. 10/10 would do many times again! If you have a calling to do it, don’t think too much, just do it! You’re in great hands with Casa Arkaana."

"I write this review honestly from my perspective with love and gratitude and with some suggestions. First of all, thank you so much to my facilitators Mario and Jenny. They were the perfect guides along a most profound awakening journey. They held space for me in the most loving and kind way possible. The Kambo cleansed me and the bufo blew me open I simply cannot describe how profound this was for me and I'm eternally grateful. That being said, here is my honest review of the retreat package I purchased. It was not as described. The package is advertised as being an inclusive experience that includes two meals a day, a sound healing, and a sauna. Unfortunately, none of these were acknowledged or honored by the owner or hotel staff. When I brought this up, the hotel owner kindly gave me $700 pesos and recommended a few nearby restaurants. While this was appreciated, it only really covers one or two meals in Tulum. The Sauna was out of order, and there was not any invitations to schedule the sound healing. I would have appreciated more acknowledgement and hospitality. I think it is the responsibility of the hotel staff and owner to honor and acknowledge the retreat package and make sure everything is accounted for. The hotel itself is pretty nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was cool and refreshing. However, the atmosphere was a bit chaotic. There was very loud construction happening the whole time I was there. Again, no acknowledgement of this and not any warning ahead of time. This made it more difficult to relax during my stay. I think that there could be an improvement in terms of communication, hospitality and accountability. Guests are entering into a very big moment in our lives when we go to take bufo for our first time and it is a big responsibility for the hotel staff to create a safe and welcoming space. I. Many ways, this was a perfect experience, and ultimately, I am very glad I did it. I do recommend to book your stay, just understand that it is not an inclusive retreat. "First and foremost the space while in a busy part of Tulum is it's own little sanctuary of peace. The room was comfortable, clean and just the right temp. The communal bathrooms are also kept to a very high standard. Now the important part... The Kambo ceremony was much more rewarding than I expected. Having not known much about it, I was pleasantly surprised with the sense of calm and peace it brought me. The Bufo ceremony was a wild ride that I'm still unpacking a little less than two weeks later. This medicine and the facilitators changed my life in the most profound way. A complete shift has occurred, I was able to discard many negative traits and traumas in the days following the ceremony. Rebuilding into the best version of myself in all the best ways. The very first thing I recall saying after I woke from the medicine was "this is what peace feels like". Everyone should have access to this! The 3 hour cenote integration that followed was at the time a little overwhelming, however the tools and memories gained during this time have been invaluable with my long term integration. I would also highly recommend the sensory deprivation tank. I was not expecting to gain much from this but I probably processed and released some of the most traumatic events of my past during this session. This was and is the best thing I've ever done for myself in my 43 years on this earth. Do your soul a favor and go experience this medicine! James "

"I can say everything is structured better than I imagined from my perspective. Everyone I met there are from different walks of life and we were all there to intake the medicine and work through whatever it was the medicine was bringing to the surface. Asdrubal and Maja were very informative on any questions I had, since this was my first dieta and first time with mama ayahuasca. Its a very safe location as well so there was no need to ever worry during my stay. The location is in the jungle as well so I had the opportunity to reconnect with nature as well as reset my circadian rhythm. Its been about 3 weeks since I was there last and I receive downloads still from the medicine, yet anything I need help understanding I know I can reach out to Asdrubal and Maja since we stayed in contact with each other. There were times where I was stuck processing what I had experienced in the ceremonies the night before and Maja would come up to me and ask me about it afterwards so we could decipher what some of the messages meant and that was very helpful in getting me out of my own head and realizing how to take action on the message. I never had to worry about my eating while I was there as they had already taken out what would've been counterintuitive for the medicine or the master plants that we were introduced to. I worked through a lot while I was there and its definitely been for the better; I am looking forward to going back again and I would definitely recommend Casa Arkaana to anyone from seasoned drinkers to new drinkers. Drinkers of mama ayahuasca of course. Everyone there except for another dietera was experienced and they explained the comparisons of other retreats with Casa Arkaana and I can confidently say I made the right decision. "

"What can really be said, you have to experience it for yourself, but for me it was life changing. the Bufo showed me a deep acceptance of myself and life and love, im still integrating what acceptance means for me, what conditions, fears and shame, have held me back from this acceptance, and its challenging work, but already i feel a peace and presence ive never felt before. "This was truly an amazing experience. The Kambo and Bufo experiences for both my partner and I were beyond words. Truly a very safe space for us to be comfortable with this vulnerable experience. Even when our nerves were high, Adrian helped ease both of us throughout the entire experience and made us both feel relaxed and comfortable to fully embrace it. We stayed for about 5 days, the hotel is the perfect place to relax, the staff was friendly and helpful, there’s a restaurant that is a part of the hotel which has great food and other places that are walking distance. "My husband and I came here for this 40th birthday. Our daughter and her boyfriend also made the trip to Mexico with us. Originally it was to be my husband and myself who did the Bufo ceremony but the kids (adult kids) decided to also do the ceremony. It was a life changing experience. There are no words to explain. I'm not sure if it was the Shamans, the accommodations, the other activities available, or the medicine itself. This is truly a profound experience, due to how the retreat is planned out for the week. You can really feel that the Shaman (Arturo) and staff at this retreat are connected to the medicine and are there to serve others in the healing process. They go the extra mile to make sure everyone is taken care of and that the space is very safe and comfortable. I could really tell that they have been doing this work for a long time. Anna's support from start to finish was so helpful! There were many details to this experience that really made the difference for me. The diverse music played during ceremony was absolutely incredible! The rooms all had very good air conditioning and were very clean. You could tell that the organic, clean, food was prepared with a lot of love and care! The pool was really nice too! It was really great how this retreat is in the jungle and yet so easily accessible from the Cancun airport. Maybe a 25 minute drive. When I arrived at the airport, they had someone waiting there to take me to the retreat. Being in the jungle, you really get to take in your surroundings and feel the energy around you, especially while in ceremony! What a slice of heaven! To see all the participant's transformations from start to finish was such a blessing for me! At the conclusion of the retreat, every participant there looked 10 years younger!
