Kambo, Bufo Alvarius and Floatation with magic mushroom in Tulum

I was born and raised in Finland. Graduated as a Master of Science from the most prestigious university of the country. I was full of ego and pride of all I had accomplished. But I was not happy working in my office. I had forgotten who I really was for too much education, and the essence of myself had been faded. Definitely I didn't have enough self love. Altough I had been the 'best in class', I was missing something. I couldn't find it because I didn't know what I needed. The void I felt inside lead me to 'truthseeking' and studying various self-help materials. I believed the power of manifestation, but that didn't really work for me. I started with reading about spirituality, but didn't understand it as I hadn't experienced ever anything out of this world. I practiced lots of meditation, and it eased the anxiety, but it didn't go away. I had to keep treating it with marijuana and occasionally with alcohol. It didn't kill me, but it definitely didn't make me any stronger. I travelled world around and moved to another continent learned my third language (spanish), that became my first, but I didn't find the key to happiness. Not until in summer of 2014 I came across with the medicine of bufo alvarius (5meodmt), after searching help for anxiety and depression. It was in Guadalajara in Mexico, when from the very first session I had been healed and the new chapter started in my life. I started serving the medicine little by little within family and friendships. I believe, that you dont need a special preparation for becoming a healer, only an own experience of suffering, and healing from inside, can prepare one to be a healer. Viajé por el mundo y me mudé a otro continente aprendí mi tercer idioma (español), que se convirtió en el primero, pero no encontré la clave de la felicidad. Mario has been working at Bufo Alvarius Sanctuary just about a year but he has become indispensable element guiding our quests from the first contact by telephone, through the ceremonies on site and during the integration process.

Where It All Began.. In order to understand how I came to this place of serving medicine, I will share a brief introduction to my story of where it all began for me. When I was a little girl I felt deeply about the world around me. I didn’t understand it at the time but I was very sensitive to energy. I couldn’t at the time navigate life in the way that supported a healthy emotional and physical lifestyle. In turn I seemed to be in a mild place of depression, anxiety and a sense of not belonging in this world. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be in a helping profession. And having a sick father who was always in and out of the hospital created a desire to be there for others in the same way the Nurse’s were there for my father. So I decided to become a Registered Nurse. As I navigated the hospital world it became clear to me that this was not the way of real healing for me. I wanted to understand why so many people were getting sick and not better with western medicine. My first experience with alternative medicine was an Ayahuasca ceremony in Peru in 2014. This started a deep healing journey for me. I sat with Ayahuasca a few more times thereafter. Although I received much clarity there was still something that was missing for me. In 2018 I went on a search to find a practitioner that served Kambo. I had heard about it from someone in Peru so I thought I would give it a try. After one session I received this mental clarity that I had never felt before. Peace, is the one word I can describe it as. The following day I went for another session. I felt as if my soul was being cleansed, releasing everything that didn’t serve me. Kambo guided me to find the strength to stand in my own true self, to see myself as a beautiful sensitive soul and the understanding that I DO belong in this world and I DO matter. After this realization, I decided I wanted to learn and understand this medicine more and to help others to realize their own truth, their own worth, and their own strength Not long after sitting with Kambo I found Bufo, or Bufo found me. The first few sessions were incredibly loving but this deep fear within me surfaced. As much as I kept sitting with the medicine I was always terrified of going deeper. But Bufo had plans for me that I had yet to understand. I kept going, kept pushing against my fear, kept releasing by crying, sitting and feeling all the emotions that kept arising within me. Kambo cleared me to see the messages of Bufo. The message of love, of unity and of one consciousness. In 2021, after many years of sitting with different plant and amphibian medicines I embarked on my journey to study both Kambo and Bufo.
