Professional Summary
About Sam Cutri
Sam Cutri is an award-winning composer, sound designer, and educator with over 30 years of experience in music, vibrational therapy, and transformative sound practices. He is the creator of The Soundful Experience (SX) — a groundbreaking approach that blends ancient wisdom with modern sound technologies to guide participants into deep states of presence, stillness, and renewal.

With a Master’s in Education, a Diploma in Sound Therapy, and decades of teaching at world-renowned institutions including WAAPA and SAE Creative Media Institute, Sam brings both academic depth and artistic mastery to his work. His career spans composing for film, animation, and international festivals, as well as collaborating with communities, athletes, and wellness practitioners worldwide.

Sam’s personal journey through music and spirituality led him to develop SX as a way to bridge the science of sound with the art of healing. His sessions weave live instrumentation, voice, and scientifically tuned frequencies (binaural beats, isochronic tones, Solfeggio harmonics) into immersive soundscapes that reset the nervous system, open the heart, and invite participants into soundfulness — the practice of listening with presence.

Beyond performance, Sam is dedicated to wellbeing, research, and community connection. He has worked with diverse groups, from the AFLW Fremantle Dockers to international retreat centres, guiding people to rediscover inner balance and collective resonance through sound.
At Resonance Rising, Sam offers more than a retreat — he offers a lived philosophy: that sound is not just something we hear, but something we become.
