About the Teacher
Why study with them?
I've spent 18 years working with people who struggle—not because they're broken, but because they're running too fast to notice they've forgotten why they're running.
I'm a Danish therapist, but I don't do traditional therapy.
Instead, I work with high-performers, creatives, and driven professionals who've discovered that regular holidays don't work anymore.
You come back from vacation just as exhausted. Maybe more.
Because the problem isn't that you need a break.
The problem is that you need to fundamentally slow down.
Why Slow Down Retreats?
This is for people who:
Can't turn off, even when they try
Feel guilty resting
Return from vacation already planning the next thing
Know something has to change, but "self-care" feels like another item on the to-do list
Are high-functioning on the outside, barely holding on inside
Regular holidays give you a pause.
Slow Down Retreats teach you a different operating system.
The Problem with "Normal" Holidays
You take time off.
You try to relax.
But your nervous system is still in overdrive. Your mind is still planning. Your body is still braced.
You might rest physically, but you never actually slow down.
And then you return to the same pace, the same pressure, the same patterns.
This retreat is different.
It's not about escaping your life for a week.
It's about learning to inhabit your life differently when you return.
My Approach
I don't believe in adding more to your plate.
No morning routines. No optimization hacks. No "10 steps to better balance."
Instead, I create conditions where your system can finally exhale.
Where rest isn't something you have to earn.
Where slowing down isn't weakness—it's intelligence.
We work with:
Your actual capacity (not the one you think you should have)
Sustainable rhythms (not willpower)
What your body needs (not what productivity culture demands)
A Bit More About Me
Beyond my work as a therapist, I'm a musician, writer, and someone who's deeply familiar with the trap of speed.
I live by the principle that the goal is to love the process—not to arrive at some imagined destination of perfection.
I understand what it's like to be high-functioning and exhausted.
To achieve and feel empty.
To rest and still feel wired.
Slow Down Retreats are built on the foundation of:
18 years of therapeutic practice
Deep understanding of nervous system regulation
Research-informed methods that actually work
Real experience with the cost of speed—and the intelligence of slowness
Not just theory. Not just experience.
Both.
