Amazonian Medicine Curanderos
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
This event will be led by two exceptional facilitators, both of whom provide a breadth of knowledge, combining years of studying with master teachers and plants, profound life experiences, a personal commitment to their own inner work, and a lifelong dedication to facilitating personal transformation.
Curandero #1: Originally from Mexico and now based in Canada, this leader has a deep understanding of the Shipibo tradition of working with plant medicine. He is a talented musician, playing various instruments including the harp, kora, guitar, and drum. He brings extensive experience with plant dietas and will share invaluable knowledge and tools during the retreat. He will also contribute his healing abilities, Ikaros, and music during the ceremonies.
This Curandero will provide insight into the Shipibo Plant Technology, shedding light on the methodology and science behind the ancient practices used by Shipibo healers.
Curandero #2: An Authorized Continuum Movement Teacher, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Inquiry-Based Coach, and retreat facilitator, and mother with training in pre- and perinatal/attachment and bonding, process work, somatic therapies, and parts work.
She is dedicated to creating safe and sacred containers for deep transformation, self-discovery, and integrated healing. Her passion lies in fostering intimate connections, wholesome embodied awareness, and guiding others on their healing and awakening journeys.
Her experience on the path with Amazonian Medicine began 16 years ago, meeting her core Medicine Teacher, Doña Cristina, over 12 years ago. Cristina represents and honours the evolving path of the Quechua-mestizo tradition in Peru. The sacred songs and ways have been passed on and shared with this facilitator, holding deep resonant vibrations of harmony, health, and an unshakeable trust in the power of love to hold, heal, and integrate all that arises.
They have worked together in facilitating ceremony for the last 10 years and together create a beautifully powerful circle.
