Meet Marta and the Women of the Condagua ResguardoWe are honored to be welcomed by Marta, a dedicated member of the Condagua Resguardo in Mocoa. We will spend two days immersed in this unique, women-led indigenous reserve—a sacred space dedicated to passing down ancestral knowledge rooted in the earth, seeds, plants, and community life.Throughout our stay, we will share meaningful moments with the women of the resguardo through open dialogues and traditional charlas (cultural talks). We will explore the chagra—the community’s traditional agricultural plot—where medicinal and food plants are cultivated. This hands-on experience will offer a deeper understanding of the vital connection between the land, nourishment, and holistic care.We will also participate in hands-on workshops focused on traditional weaving and crafts. Here, we will discover how native seeds are transformed into beautiful jewelry and sacred objects, serving not only as art but as living vessels for memory, spirituality, and cultural transmission.
