Why study with them?
Oceane Isla is a French artist from Réunion Island, currently living in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. A graduate of the Fine Arts School in Toulouse, France (2014), she moved to Mexico that same year and soon discovered muralism. Painting walls became her way to explore, connect, and engage with local communities through social and creative projects.
Her art centers on the female body and its place in contemporary society. In response to the she has witnessed in Mexico, Oceane paints women and bodies on walls—reclaiming and freeing the feminine form from limiting narratives.
