Carla Rubí

After 7 years of building an Environmental Lawyer career dealing with EU Affairs regarding energy matters in Brussels, Carla quitted this lifestyle to follow a profound calling to become a Death Doula. Her favourite Death Doula is Ayahuasca herself and this sacred medicine has become one of her teachers.

In 2022, together with her husband Fred, Carla created Taozen with the aim of sharing sacred (plant) medicines with the world whilst respecting and collaborating with the indigenous communities that have preserved this ancient wisdom throughout the centuries. She is using her legal background to help some Amazonian communities get international recognition and protection in the UN and EU institutions.

Carla is also a certified psychedelic preparation & integration specialist that bridges science and spirituality. She uses dreamwork and Embodied Imagination, a technique influenced by Carl Jung's perspective on dreams as symbolic reflections of the self and the personal/collective unconscious. Given the remarkable similarities in the neural pathways and neurochemistry of brains that are either dreaming or having a psychedelic journey, Carla loves to employ dreamwork techniques to help people integrate their Ayahuasca journeys.

In 2020 she got her Yoga Teacher Training and she’s been teaching yoga ever since. You’ll find her guiding the yoga sessions at each Taozen retreat!

Carla is currently finalising her Priestesshood studies in an Ancient Egyptian Mystery School. Her focus areas include Ancient Egyptian mythology, Shamanism, Reiki, Hermeticism, Alchemy, Qigong, Astrology, Divination and Oracle Arts, Tarot, Gene Keys,, and Birth & Death Doula work.
