About the Teacher
Why study with them?
ARCHETYPE: Gentle body listener. Apprentice of the subtle field. Empathetic servant of human well-being.
PERSONAL JOURNEY: My name is Javi De Gabriel. My path to awareness was born out of personal hardship, a journey many of us can relate to. After a successful career in human resources, I experienced burnout and depression, which ultimately became my awakening. I left the corporate world behind for more profound meaning and embarked on a spiritual journey leading to yoga, breathwork, acting, dancing, and massage therapy. One childhood memory stands out—massaging my grandmother, who suffered from migraines. That memory guided me toward bodywork, and in 2010, I began formal training in massage therapy.
I hold certifications in Esalen Massage from the renowned Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, and have completed a three-year massage training program at Oasis in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Additionally, I am a graduate of the one-year online Compassionate Inquiry training led by Gabor Maté and Sat Dharam, and I am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher trained by Sri Parveen Nair.
In 2011, I worked at one of the top spas in the world while living in New Zealand, Polynesian Spa, where I spent five years. Yoga became a central practice during this period, and I travelled extensively to India over seven years, immersing myself in yoga and meditation while continuing to refine my massage techniques.
Since 2015, I have made Ibiza my home. I maintain a regular bodywork practice in Amsterdam and have dedicated my life to teaching the techniques I’ve developed. It brings me great joy to help others reconnect with their true essence and find balance in their lives.
My journey into the world of plant medicines began in 2019 when I had my first Ayahuasca ceremony—a profound experience that reshaped my life. Since then, I have explored various avenues of self-discovery, including microdosing with truffles, attending 10-day silent Vipassana retreats, and undertaking fasts lasting over ten days.
My passion is deeply rooted in helping people reconnect with their bodies and integrate their transformative experiences into their daily lives. I firmly believe in the power of bodywork to foster personal growth and healing, especially when combined with the insights gained from plant medicine.
