Claude Sciortino "Jamaël"

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Claude Sciortino, known by his spiritual name Jamaél, is an Orthodox priest, spiritual guide, teacher, and practitioner of sacred arts. With over 35 years of experience in therapeutic and spiritual guidance, he embodies a profound and integrated approach to inner transformation.

His path is rooted in the priestly lineage of the autocephalous Syro-Antiochian Orthodox Church, where he received ordination and the transmission of the sacraments. He has also rigorously explored the paths of Kabbalah, Hebrew letters, esoteric graphology, as well as the major currents of Christian mysticism and universal initiatory traditions.

For more than twelve years, he lived in the Peruvian Amazon, immersed among traditional master healers, where he was initiated into ancestral rituals, master plants, and the subtle art of spiritual diets. This experience has deeply nourished his path, weaving together vegetal medicine and mystical wisdom. Over 20 years ago, he co-founded the traditional medicine center Huamanwasi in Peru.

Recognized for his ability to build bridges between ancient wisdom and contemporary therapeutic approaches, Jamaél now shares his teachings through the Samauma project in Peru. There, he leads spiritual retreats, initiatory workshops, and transdisciplinary trainings, offering a vision of spirituality that is living, grounded, and accessible.

As an author, teacher, and man of prayer, his work is guided by a sincere quest for truth, an embodied presence, and a deep desire to awaken in each person the memory of the soul.
