About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Shawn was a writer and producer in Los Angeles for twenty years before she moved to Albania to become a farmer and live life at a slower pace.
She spent decades as a Yoga student in Los Angeles where Yoga is seen as a competitive sport. It was not until after a serious spinal injury that she came back around to Yoga as a therapy.
She became a yoga teacher at age 50 and she mixed the foundation of her Power Yoga from California with a more mindful Vinyasa flow. She has trained in Iyengar, Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Nidra and Hatha.
She is a Vipassana meditator, and a mindfulness meditation and OSHO breathwork leader.
Shawn believes there is power in engaging your core and loves to watch her students as they gain inner strength. Shawn is also a chef and the owner of two restaurants. She has spent over 10 years dedicated to animal welfare and is a practicing Buddhist. She intends to keep practicing until she gets it right
