Rebecca Irby

Rebecca Irby is a visionary leader, healer, and global advocate for equity and transformational change. As the Founder and President of the PEAC Institute, Rebecca has spearheaded international efforts towards peace and racial justice, leading to the organization’s recognition with the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for its work on nuclear disarmament. She also serves as the Director of Transformational Change at New Detroit, where she develops programs aimed at dismantling systemic inequities and fostering inclusive, anti-racist communities.
Rebecca is a Certified 500-hour Yoga Instructor (RYT-500), with specialized certifications in Somatic Movement, Somatic Attachment Therapy, and Expert Sound Healing. Her somatic work is rooted in indigenous practices and focused on releasing trauma through movement and sound. Her grief ceremonies, sound baths, and somatic movement workshops have been featured in corporate, nonprofit, and community settings, offering participants a pathway to deep healing and renewal.
At the upcoming retreat, Rebecca will lead a Sound Healing and Release Ceremony, inviting participants to reflect, release, and plant new intentions through a beautifully crafted ritual that bridges mindfulness and action. Her work emphasizes sustainable healing and collective transformation, drawing on ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic practices.
