Nelja Stump is a Kazakhstan-born artist, curator, and visionary. She works in Berlin and Nafplio (Greece). After training as a nurse, she studied stage and costume design with Andrej Woron and worked as an art director for feature films and commercials. In parallel, she completed her fine arts studies with Prof. Katharina Sieverding at the University of the Arts Berlin, graduating with a master’s diploma in 2000. In the 1990s, she served as a tutor and gender/cultural studies representative at the UdK Berlin. As a director, she created numerous short films and music videos. In 2003, she founded Galerie Tristesse Deluxe in Berlin, an interdisciplinary platform for photography, video, and performance art with international exhibitions. Through her project "Wildeküche", she linked art, food, and spirituality in a farm-to-table concept. Today, she develops holistic living and learning spaces through her initiatives “The House to Be” and “The Art to Be”, connecting creativity, healing, and transformation.
