About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Lucy has spent her life alongside horses and in the quiet company of nature. What began as days at the riding school grew into a lifelong relationship of trust, patience, and understanding between her and the animals around her. Horses, with their wisdom and presence, have taught her not just how to ride, but how to truly listen – to the subtle stories they share through movement, breath, and silence.

Among them, her horse Blixten who is 29 has been her greatest teacher. From him, Lucy has learnt the power of patience, the strength in gentleness, and the importance of living fully in the present moment. Blixten’s quiet guidance reminds her daily that wisdom often comes without words through a steady gaze, a deep breath, or the rhythm of hooves moving through the forest.

Her time outdoors has deepened this gift of listening. Whether following the faint trail of a deer, noticing the soft call of birds, or reading the imprints left behind by foxes and hares, Lucy has discovered that every sign in nature is part of a larger conversation. The forest is full of voices some loud, others barely whispers and she has learnt the art of slowing down enough to hear them.

Through Blixten, horses, and the wild, Lucy has found a way of being that is about connection, respect, and presence. She believes that animals and nature are storytellers in their own right guiding us back to simplicity, grounding, and a deeper sense of belonging in the world.
