AmaTierra Retreat Center is easily accessible from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica — the nearest major airport. The retreat center is located about 50–60 minutes southwest of SJO along the smooth and scenic Highway 137, 19 kilometers west of Puriscal on the old road toward Orotina. It can also be reached via Highway 27, just 15 minutes from the Escobal exit.
