Psilara exists to offer a serious, ethical, and deeply human response to psychological suffering in a time of quick fixes and surface-level transformation. Our mission is to create a carefully held therapeutic space where individuals can engage in profound inner work—supported by psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy, psychoanalytic understanding, and trauma-informed care. We believe meaningful change arises through attentive listening, relational safety, and respect for the unconscious life of the mind and body. Our vision is to contribute to a new standard of psychedelic work: one grounded in clinical responsibility, depth psychology, and embodied integration, where healing is not rushed or simplified, but allowed to unfold with dignity, rigor, and care.

The retreat is hosted across two neighbouring private forest houses near Norg. With a maximum of six participants, each guest has their own private bedroom, while the two houses provide generous communal spaces for meals, reflection, group work, and rest. Both properties open directly onto the surrounding woodland, with extensive walking and cycling routes nearby and the village of Norg only a few minutes away.

The closest airport is Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ), approximately 11 km away and around 15 minutes by car. As this airport has limited international connections, most guests will find Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) more convenient. Schiphol is approximately 168–170 km from Norg, around 2 hours 10 minutes by car.
From Schiphol, guests can take a train to Assen, the nearest major railway station. The train journey is approximately 1 hour 55 minutes. From Assen, Norg is around 20–25 minutes by taxi or car, and local bus connections are also available.
Private airport or station transfers can be arranged at an additional cost. Guests who prefer to arrange their own travel will receive clear guidance on train, bus, and taxi options before arrival.
