My Experience at the Safe Spirit Ayahuasca Retreat
I took part in the full Ayahuasca retreat program with Safe Spirit, and it truly became one of the most transformative experiences of my life.
At first, I was a bit surprised because during the first Ayahuasca ceremony I felt almost nothing. It made me question if the medicine was even working for me. But the next day, during the integration talks, I started to understand why it seemed like nothing happened. I had too many expectations about what Ayahuasca “should” do or how it “should” feel. All those thoughts were blocking me from actually surrendering to the experience.
I learned that Ayahuasca works in a completely different way than other psychedelics. It’s not something that forces its way through you. Instead, it invites you to open yourself, and that only happens when you truly let go and trust.
The second and third nights were absolutly beautiful. I was able to release so many old emotions and memories from my life. It felt like layers of heaviness were melting away. I don’t want to go into too much detail, since it was very personal, but it was deeply healing and peaceful.
The whole Safe Spirit team is very professional and caring. I always felt safe, supported, and seen. The vegetarian food was simple and delicious, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. It created the perfect space to rest and reflect between the ceremonies.
On the last day, I also did the Bufo Alvarius ceremony, which was the perfect closing to the whole journey. It brought everything together and left me with a sense of clarity and deep inner peace.
Overall, this retreat was a profound spiritual and transformative experience for me. I realized that every person has their own unique journey with Ayahuasca. It really depends on how open you are and how much you can surrender.
My advice to others is this: if you feel little or nothing during a ceremony, it doesn’t mean Ayahuasca isn’t working. Often it’s our own resistance or expectations standing in the way. Ayahuasca works in mysterious but powerful ways. The more you let go and stop trying to control, the deeper the experiance becomes.
I’m deeply grateful for everything I’ve learned and I can truly reccomend Safe Spirit from my heart. 🌿
