Directions

Our intimate medicine retreats will take place in a stunning luxury, eco-friendly healing space outside of Nosara, Costa Rica. The entire retreat space is built with natural materials and fallen trees and is maintained with zero chemicals or toxic materials. Immersed in the wildness of the jungle, supported by the cleansing energy of the Pacific Ocean, and surrounded by a diversity of Costa Rican wildlife, we will embark on a potent healing journey with Shipibo Ayahuasca medicine. To reach Nosara, the nearest international airport is Liberia International Airport, which is 2.5 hours away by car. Alternatively, you can fly to Costa Rica's capital, San José, and take a short domestic flight with Sansa Airlines to Nosara's airport, which is only a 5-minute drive from Nosara Town.

Couldn't recommend this place more highly!

I did soooo much research on many places, and I couldn't find a more supportive retreat centre. Anam Cara gives you so much preparation support and integration! Their facilitaros are all essentially somatic therpaists which is a huge perk, their yoga teacher Zaia is an emodied specialist and lead transformative experinces that blew everyone away, their maestro's / healers at top class, the facilities are 5 star and even on the dieta the food is amazing, everyones energy is incredible and they are so selective with who they attract and bring on board that everyone becomes apart of your healing journey in a beautiful way. I couldn't ask for a better retreat, I felt so supported!!

The greatest blessing

Anam Cara, start to finish, is divinely orchestrated and implemented. The process starts the moment you say yes! From intention settings calls to the dieta to the retreat itself and the integration care afterward is above and beyond. Additionally, everything between the ceremonies helps create the safest and deepest connection to the medicine while in ceremony. Every detail is a gift. These facilitators and maestros created a space where it was very easy to trust and to do deep healing work. From beginning to end, they conducted themselves and their retreat with grace and dignity. They are honest, responsive, receptive, kind, generous, and really fun to spend time with. 10/10, I will love to come back here for future journeys.

Heart Opening and Insightful

This was my first time journeying with Ayahuasca and it was a beautiful experience through the visions, challenges, and insights of this powerful and awesome plant medicine. I have a greater understanding and thankfulness for the miracle of how the earth and plants can heal us and connect to us. It is hard to put into words the gratitude I have for Francesca and Neils, the Maestros, and the amazing, supportive team they assembled. I received deep healing, huge insights, and my heart is more fully opened in such a beautiful way! Big bonus . . . the food was absolutely delicious! I felt so nurtured, supported and connected!

My experience at Anam Cara was inspiring and life changing. Francesca and Neils are incredible people who've crafted a grounding and sacred space for attendees providing a blend of individual and group support. I felt tended to by them both along with the incredible individuals in my group who were open and accepting throughout the week. Each day presented a new activity to help open and expand our journey. From Yoga and Breathwork with Kitty, to group shares and plant baths. Anam Cara exceeded any expectations and helped to open my heart and mind to even more joy in life and deepen the relationships in my life.
