The Lighthouse is nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley, one of Portugal’s most breathtaking and serene regions. Just 50 km east of Porto, we’re easily accessible by car (approx. 45 minutes) or train (around 60 minutes).
Our retreat space offers stunning panoramic views across the valley, with the majestic Douro River just minutes away—along with countless nearby beauty spots waiting to be explored.
We are a 45 min car drive from Porto airport and a 15 min cab journey to the train station followed by a 1 hour direct train ride which cost €8. Detailed instructions will be given when bookings are confirmed.

Couldn't have asked for more
Isher and Marijke accompanied by their beautiful dogs made my feel very safe and comfortable the whole retreat, from arriving until departure. You can really feel the soul of the retreat with its genuineness and authenticity. The location is absolutely breathtaking - the view, the house, the garden. Thanks for an unforgettable weekend.

Isher, Marijke, and Nancy went above and beyond to ensure we all had enriching and meaningful experiences. The residence is in a gorgeous location and the ceremonies were done with great care. Personally, I had a very moving experience and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of all 3 of them.
