Details of this retreat

Do you long for more peace, clarity, and connection with yourself?

I invite you to step out of everyday life for a few days and immerse yourself in the healing power of silence, meditation, and simplicity.

Together, we will spend this time at the monastery in Niederaltaich in Southern Germany, a special place of peace and contemplation directly on the banks of the Danube. Surrounded by nature, a quiet atmosphere, and plenty of space for retreat, an environment emerges where thoughts can soften and the inner voice becomes easier to hear again.

Throughout the retreat, we will practice conscious silence. Often, it is only in silence that we are able to truly breathe deeply, see more clearly, and return to ourselves.

You can expect daily meditations, gentle Hatha Yoga, breathwork and mindfulness practices, guided deep relaxation, as well as time for reflection, walks, and rest. All guided meditations, teachings, and group sessions are conducted in German.

The retreat weaves together elements of meditation, yoga, Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, and Western contemplative traditions in a grounded, open, and non-dogmatic way. It is not about achieving or becoming anything. Rather, it is an invitation to slow down, let go, and step out of the constant mode of doing and functioning for a few days.

This retreat is for those who long for peace, clarity, slowing down, and a conscious pause from everyday life. After facilitating many retreats and groups in Mexico, Bali, and Germany, I am delighted to open this space once again at the monastery Niederaltaich.

I look forward to welcoming you.

Katrin Blumenauer

Voices from the Last Retreat

"This retreat will stay with me for a long time. It was intimate and powerful, and I felt safe and held throughout. The balance between guidance and time for myself was perfect. The silence felt magical to me. Something truly special. It certainly won't be my last retreat with Katrin."
– Anne, Germany

"During my first silent retreat, I felt very well guided by Katrin. I am deeply grateful for her warm presence, the clear introduction, and the compassionate way she answered our questions."
– Marion, Germany

"Thank you for this intense and wonderful retreat. It was an enriching experience for me, an opportunity to find stillness, turn inward, and dedicate myself deeply to self-exploration. For me, this was certainly not a one-time experience."
– Judith, Austria

Schedule

Each day follows a gentle, clear rhythm — guided by silence, mindfulness, and presence.

The morning begins in silence with a 60–90 minute guided meditation before breakfast. Afterwards, there is a short spiritual reading or inspiration to deepen your practice and offer new insights. This is followed by gentle Hatha Yoga and mindful movement to connect body and mind and deepen the breath.
After the vegetarian lunch, there is plenty of space for rest, journaling, contemplation, or walks in nature.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue your practice with another meditation session, followed by half an hour of self-practice. After dinner, there is a daily question round (questions can be submitted in writing). The day closes with an evening meditation focused on a specific theme or intention.

This calm balance between structure and space creates the foundation for deep regeneration, clarity, and connection with yourself.
