We created this Yoga in Provence retreat with a lot of care, and we wanted to offer a clearer picture of what the week will be like. Early October is a particularly beautiful time to be in Provence, France: warm days, cooler evenings, softer light, and a sense that everything is full but beginning to exhale. This retreat is designed to feel just like that: nourishing, unhurried, and deeply grounding. Below you’ll find all the details in one place to help you decide if this week feels like a yes.

The Setting

We’ll be staying for 7 days / 6 nights in a private pool villa near Murs, France, close to Gordes, in the heart of Provence. The villa is quiet, spacious, and surrounded by open land and beautiful gardens— perfect for slowing down, wandering, reading, resting, or simply doing nothing at all. We adore the aesthetics of this space: rustic and traditional on the outside, modern and chic on the inside!

Every room includes:

-A private bathroom
-A private terrace
-AC
-Access to shared indoor and outdoor spaces, including the pool and
petanque court

The Daily Rhythm

Each day follows a gentle, spacious rhythm — supportive without being overly structured. You’re always invited to participate in as much (or as little) as feels right for you.

Excursion Days

On days we travel to nearby Provencal towns and villages, the schedule adjusts naturally. Most of the excursion days include two yoga practices, allowing for rhythm and ease. On our longer excursion day to the Aix-en-Provence area, we’ll offer one grounding practice after returning so that we get an early start to explore, wander, and café-hop without feeling hurried.

The Food

Food is a central part of the retreat experience, and we’re deeply cared for in this way. Meals are prepared by a local, experienced chef who specializes in yoga retreats, creating food that is both nourishing and satisfying.

Menus feature fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby Provencal markets, emphasizing vibrant flavors, balance, and nourishment to complement your retreat experience.

All meals are thoughtfully prepared and adaptable to dietary preferences (vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) — just let us know in advance.

During excursion days, you’re welcome to explore local restaurants of your choice (self-pay) in the Provencal towns and villages we visit. It’s a perfect chance to try new flavors, check off must-visit spots, or simply enjoy the culinary variety Provence has to offer.

Meals at the villa are shared and unhurried: a time to connect, linger, and savor the abundance of the region together. Snacks and beverages are available at any time outside of meals.

The Yoga

Practices are accessible, thoughtful, and adaptable, blending movement and breath. You can expect a variety of practices, including vinyasa, hatha, flow, restorative, and yoga nidra. This retreat is open to all levels.

Provence in Early October

This is one of the most lovely times to experience Provence: fewer crowds, golden afternoons, vineyard and village life in full swing, and evenings that invite long dinners and deep rest. It’s a season that naturally supports presence, reflection, and letting go.

This is an optimal time to fly to France, benefiting from shoulder season rates and off-season prices.

Community + Space

This retreat offers a warm, welcoming sense of community — shared meals, practices, and excursions — alongside ample time for yourself. There’s space for reading by the pool, solo walks, journaling, naps, or independent exploration. You’re never required to do everything.

You’re very welcome to come solo (many guests do), with a friend, or to share a room. We are always happy to help with room matching or questions.

What makes this retreat truly special is the leadership and intention behind it. Led by Amy and Kathleen — experienced yoga teachers and seasoned retreat guides — the week is thoughtfully crafted to feel both deeply grounded and genuinely spacious. Their complementary teaching styles blend intelligent sequencing, breath-centered movement, restorative depth, and meaningful reflection, creating practices that are accessible yet transformative for all levels.

The magic lies in the balance: depth without pressure, beauty without rush, and a warm, intimate group dynamic that allows for real connection while still honoring your independence and need for quiet.

You’ll stay in a private villa near Murs with your own bathroom and terrace — intimate, spacious, and surrounded by open land. With small group size, seamless transfers, curated excursions, and a rhythm that feels both grounding and free, this retreat offers something rare: depth without intensity, beauty without rush, and community without overwhelm.

If you’re curious, unsure, or want help deciding, just send us a message. We are here for you and cannot wait to share this experience with you.
