About this Retreat
Taylor Newton Murphy has devoted more than two decades to the study and practice of Yoga, Qi Gong, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Trained in Classical Hatha Yoga in Kerala, India and he has also studied with a number of world-renowned Qi Gong masters. He integrates the wisdom of Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Qi Gong into a grounded and transformative practice.
Alongside teaching yoga, Taylor is a licensed acupuncturist, he studied at the Yuan Traditional Medicine College in London under the renowned John Tindall. His work reflects a deep sensitivity to the body’s energetic systems, helping students cultivate balance, vitality, and inner awareness.
At retreat, Taylor creates a welcoming and supportive environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners, guiding each person toward greater health, clarity, and connection.

Escape to a restored 16th-century Carmelite monastery in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, surrounded by wild mountains, ancient olive groves, and pristine nature.
Start and end each day with 90-minute sunrise and sunset sessions on a panoramic rooftop shala, practicing a powerful blend of Ashtanga, Classical Hatha Yoga, and Qi Gong with 360° mountain views.
Led by Taylor, a teacher with 20+ years of experience and a licensed acupuncturist, you’ll learn yoga, pranayama breathwork and energy practices that cultivate the Three Treasures: Jing, Qi, and Shen.
Stay in solar-powered eco huts or bell tents under the stars, enjoy organic vegetarian meals, swim in spring-fed mineral pools, hike ancient trails, and visit the historic Andalusian city of Ronda.
