Details of this retreat

Lian House is a real old wooden cabin built many years ago by an elderly local man who once lived on this land. It was made from raw wooden planks and heavy beams crafted from trees growing in the surrounding area — simple, authentic, and filled with natural warmth. This place was never created as a resort or tourist attraction. It was built to be lived in. And to this day, you can still feel the peace, simplicity, and presence of nature within it.

The cabin is surrounded by a spacious garden filled with tropical fruits and more than fifteen species of sacred and magical plants, which we grow with care, respect, and intention. From the terrace, you can see the green mountain ranges of the cordilleras, nearby pastures, and cows peacefully grazing in the distance. The space is watched over by four friendly German Shepherds who are as much a part of this place as our two gentle sheep, chickens, and the cat lounging somewhere between the trees.

In the evenings, Lian House transforms into a space filled with soft candlelight, the scent of incense, and natural silence. The raw wood, the glow of the flames, and the sounds of the night help the body and mind slow down and truly relax. You can hear crickets, frogs, the wind moving through the trees, and sometimes the gentle sounds of natural instruments blending into the atmosphere like part of the landscape itself.

The entire place is reserved exclusively for you — for the peace of your process, the opportunity to go deeper within yourself, and to experience everything without rush, crowds, or distractions. We truly believe that meaningful and transformative experiences require privacy, safety, and personal attention.

For this reason, we organize psilocybin ceremonies only in private formats:
• one-to-one,
• for couples,
• or for small private groups of close friends — with a maximum of 4 participants.

Each experience is personalized to the needs of the participants — including the pace, atmosphere, level of support, emotional comfort, and the space needed for each individual journey. For us, attention, presence, and a deeply personal approach are what matter most.

This place was created for people who are looking for silence, a genuine connection with nature, and a space where they can disconnect from the outside world for a while and simply reconnect with themselves.

If you feel that this place and this space resonate with you, you are warmly welcome :)

At the same time, everything here flows at its own natural pace. Nothing is imposed or rigidly fixed. You are free to follow what you feel in each moment — take part in the offered practices or simply give yourself space to rest, be in silence, and connect with nature.

We create a calm, safe space and remain present to support you whenever you need it.

Directions

How to Get Here
Our private property is located in Mollejones de Platanares, in the canton of Pérez Zeledón (San Isidro de El General), about 15–20 minutes’ drive southeast from the center of San Isidro de El General.
Nearest airports:

Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José – the main international airport in Costa Rica (recommended for most guests).
Pérez Zeledón / San Isidro de El General Regional Airport (IPZ) – small domestic airport with very limited flights.

From San José / SJO Airport (most popular route):

By car (rental or private transfer): approximately 3 to 3.5 hours (130–140 km) south on the Pan-American Highway (Interamericana Hwy 2). The road is mostly good but winding and mountainous (Cerro de la Muerte). We recommend departing in the morning or before dark.
By bus: Direct buses depart from the Tracopa or MUSOC terminal in San José to San Isidro de El General every 1–2 hours (journey takes about 3–3.5 hours, fare approx. $8–14 USD). From San Isidro, take a taxi or private transfer (15–25 minutes) to Mollejones.

Approximate driving times from popular places in Costa Rica:

San José city center / SJO Airport → 3–3.5 hours
Jacó → 2.5–3 hours
Quepos / Manuel Antonio → 2–2.5 hours
Dominical / Uvita (Costa Ballena) → 1–1.5 hours (closest beach area)
La Fortuna / Arenal → 5–6 hours (via San José or longer mountain routes)
Puerto Jiménez (Osa Peninsula) → 2.5–3 hours

Final stretch to the property:
Once you reach San Isidro, head toward Platanares / Mollejones. The last few kilometers are on a quiet paved road with a short gravel section (a car with higher clearance is recommended, but most regular cars manage it without problems). We will send you the exact GPS coordinates and detailed directions after your booking is confirmed.
Private transfer:
If you prefer maximum comfort, we can arrange a private transfer from SJO, San Isidro, or any other location (price depends on distance and number of people). Just let us know when you book.
We are in a peaceful, green area far from crowds – the perfect setting for your private ceremony. We look forward to welcoming you!
