About this Retreat
Your Guides
Kristen Birth, E-RYT-500, brings a wealth of knowledge & experience to her teacher trainees. She has devoted over 24 years of health and wellness lifestyle training, and she adds a unique blend of yoga philosophy, personal training techniques, fitness qigong, meditation, and martial arts concepts to her teachings. As the owner of Cabuya Lodge and Rebirth Fitness Yoga School for Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings, Workshops, Classes, and Certifications, Kristen is committed to guiding students on their own transformative journey of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Kristen Birth is not your average yoga instructor! She is the visionary and creator of Rebirth Fitness Yoga. Kristen was born and raised in South Florida. She studied Nutrition and Psychology at the University of Florida. She returned home, graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion in 2005. She became a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Health Fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine in 2005 and 2006. Kristen competed in 6 Fitness and Figure competitions, and won all 1st place titles, making her the Southeast States champion 2 years in a row. She went on to compete as a Pro for Ms. Fitness USA and placed 10th in the USA & 19th in the World. In 2013 she became a 200-HR Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She became a certified Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner and has helped many students learn and heal through this modality.
Since 2010, she successfully owned and operated a small in-home personal training business called Rebirth Fitness. In 2018 she graduated the 300-HR level yoga teacher course giving her 500-HR certification. She created a unique bracelet system of yoga training and opened her own studio in Pompano Beach, FL with meditation, hatha/vinyasa, and yin yoga, fitness, and massage wellness. Currently she is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu & she received a black belt in mixed martial arts of Kenpo Karate, Muay Thai, and American kickboxing in April of 2019. She became a certified Life Coach during the COVID quarantine, and launched her new Rebirth Method All Inclusive Coaching Program, with Body Nutrition, Fitness & Yoga, Brain & Mind Training with Breathing Pranayama Techniques & Meditation, and well as, True Self Recognition & Soul Life Purpose Astrology Readings. She became a 2nd degree black belt in 2022, while she was 8 months pregnant. She is also an EFT tapping practitioner, and she teaches others how to be emotionally free with this technique. She became the proud owner of Cabuya Lodge Yoga School in 2025.
Kristen certifies new yoga teachers every year through her 200-HR Yoga Alliance teacher training program. She believes in total Body, Mind, & Spirit health. She teaches her students to always be their best selves daily, and share this best self with the world. Shining your light everyday will shift & change the world, perpetuating this "BEST SELF" positive vibe onto everyone like a chain reaction of energy. It starts with YOU! Directions
Fly into SJO San Jose or LIB Liberia International Airport, then take the domestic flight with either Green Airways or Sansa to ACO Cobano airport. The airport we include pick up and drop off for is ACO Cobano airport only.
Accommodation
We have 3 single private rooms A) King bed private bath, B) King Bed shared bath, C) Two Twin Beds shared bath (option to share the other twin bed with someone). We also have 4 cabins that sleep 3 people each with two twin beds downstairs, and a queen bed upstairs loft, and one bathroom. All rooms and cabins have a/c, except one cabin. Very comfy and cozy. Two cabins have kitchenettes (the one without a/c & one with a/c, as well as the house with the 3 single rooms share a kitchen.

We have a large 2 acre jungle property with beautiful trees, plants, flowers, and 5 min walk to the beach. We also have a large covered open air yoga deck/shala surrounded daily with many animals like monkeys, guatusa, pizote, hummingbirds, iguanas, and more! We have a gorgeous 3 level pool with a waterfall. It has a main section for swimming, a kiddie pool, and an adult section with seating. There is a shaded picnic table area, and many places to sit outside and relax or lounge in the hammocks.
