- Rooted in sisterhood and shared experience, this retreat offers space to remember, to connect, and to gently begin finding a path forward together.

Andi Zemenick is a retreat leader, life coach, certified grief educator, and the founder of The Light Within, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those navigating profound loss. After losing her husband, Joel, to his battle with mental health, Andi was called to transform her own grief into purpose—creating spaces where others feel seen, supported, and less alone in their healing journey.
Blending lived experience with professional training, Andi guides others through grief with compassion, presence, and a holistic approach that honors the mind, body, and spirit. Through her retreats, she creates safe, intimate environments where participants can process loss, reconnect with themselves, and begin to rediscover meaning and hope.

La Catrina is a special Día de los Muertos retreat created for young widows who have experienced the sudden loss of their partner. Held in Sayulita, Mexico, this gathering honors both grief and love through ritual, remembrance, and connection. Together, we create space to celebrate the lives of those we’ve lost while gently exploring what it means to carry them forward. Through shared experience, cultural tradition, and the healing power of the ocean, La Catrina offers a meaningful path toward remembrance, connection, and renewal.

Directions
Arrive and depart via Puerto Vallarta International Airport, where you’ll be greeted and transported in our luxury shuttle. We offer two scheduled transfers on arrival and departure days. The drive to Sayulita is approximately one hour.

Each of the five private casitas at Casa Cinética offers a quiet, self-contained space to rest and recharge.
