About this Retreat
Ian has been practicing yoga for more than a decade and trained with some of the best teachers in the world.
He has a regular group of students in North London where he has been teaching at a highly regarded studio in Highgate.
Ian also teaches male naked yoga with Altogether Yoga and other groups around London.
His style of yoga is inclusive and body positive. When he started yoga he couldn’t really see his toes let alone touch them.
Ian has expanded his yoga teaching and combined it with his professional chef’s diploma and Thai yoga massage qualifications to create his “Retreat Sundays” enterprise, aiming to bring the relaxation and joy of a retreat into everyday urban life.
He is a registered teacher with the internationally recognised body Yoga Alliance and has trained with Jessica Stewart of State Yoga, Anna Ashby of Triyoga, Jason Crandell, Stewart Gilcrhist and Norman Blair.
As well as yoga Ian also works as an international business and economics journalist for a leading global broadcaster.
Details of this retreat
This five night ‘Naked Touch’ Yoga Retreat is a special chance to explore how yoga connects us to ourselves, our sexuality and to each other. Too often a yoga practice will end at the corner of your mat ignoring the importance of experiencing the practice through connection and love.
As well as a five day programme exploring the foundations of a yoga practice we will also use our time together to connect at a deeper level than the gay scene generally allows, working with each other to explore movement, touch and connection.
This is a body-positive retreat for all ages and all levels of practice. Ian has trained in traditional yoga posture teaching as well as the slower and more accessible yin and restorative traditions.
So come and connect with yourself and each other in order to delve into new layers of intimacy and find what happens when we share the practice with open arms and open hearts.
