Reiki Level 1 & Holistic Yoga Retreat in Puerto Escondido, Mexico

Reconnect with your inner healer in a tropical eco-oasis by the sea. This unique retreat blends daily yoga, nourishing plant-based meals, and traditional holistic practices—with a focus on Reiki energy healing.

Join Celeste González, Reiki master and holistic therapist, for a deep initiation into Reiki Level 1. You’ll receive personalized guidance, attunements, and daily opportunities to connect with your energetic body through practice and introspection.

Retreat Highlights

Depending on the length of your stay, your Reiki program includes:

You will also receive a certificate of completion and integration support with Celeste after the retreat via video call.

Directions

Barbarenas is located in La Punta, Zicatela, a worldwide known surf spot and laid-back authentic and chill beach ambience. Surrounded by tropical vibes Puerto Escondido is a great spot where you can find rest and relaxation as well as delicious fresh restaurants and handcraft stores.

Please book your flight to arrive at Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca (PXM). Barbarenas is located just 10 km away from the airport, if you like we can schedule transportation from the airport (pxm) to Barbarenas for an additional price.

Accommodation

Following traditional and eco-construction principles our bungalows were constructed by local artisans using natural materials. Every bungalow displays a unique art collection by Cuban artist Yunior Marino and has a spacious terrace perfect for relaxing, working or just listening to the ocean. Barbarenas offers chill common areas, like the pool, our big open kitchen and yoga rooftop. Our pool is cleaned by a system of natural filters without the use of chlorine and Juan makes sure the pool is always enjoyable. In Barbarenas we are continuously growing and expanding, so during your stay you may hear a minimum of noise but it shouldn’t interfere with your tranquility.

Full Bungalow Retreat

Full Bungalow Accommodation For a truly immersive experience, our full bungalow offers ultimate privacy and comfort with eco-friendly design and a terrace overlooking lush gardens. This spacious accommodation includes a cozy bedroom, a private terrace with a relaxing skybed, and thoughtful amenities that make it feel like your own sanctuary in nature. Perfect for unwinding, the bungalow provides serene views and the calming sounds of the surrounding garden, ideal for connecting deeply with yourself and the peaceful environment. This option offers a bit more luxury and exclusivity, ensuring that your retreat at Barbarenas is both rejuvenating and unforgettable.

Private Room Retreat

Private room perfect for groups of two, three, and four people.

Shared Room

This option is perfect if you want to meet new people, it won’t get too crowded as the shared bedroom fits up to four people. The adobe walls help to maintain a naturally fresh climate inside the room, the shared room has an ensuite shower and bathroom, the space is spacious and the wooden furniture is of the highest quality, guaranteeing you’ll have a good and home feeling experience at Barbarenas.

Outside Terrace Matrimonial Nook bed

The nook bed is located high-up underneath the roof. You will share a bathroom and shower with only a handful of people. If you choose the outside terrace you will enjoy a magnificent view to the ocean and you will feel like you are sleeping in the jungle. Don't worry about mosquitoes and bugs, the nook bed has a net designed for your comfort.

We have a big open space for yoga as well as a big, fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table. Our natural swimming pool is surrounded by nature and is kept clean using only natural filters. You will feel like you are in paradise.

The real deal

I found this little sanctuary on Google so I was a little nervous that it would be a disappointment but I was very pleasantly surprised.
There is a lot of heart energy in this place and it attracts kind and authentic people both with the staff and volunteers and the guests. The yoga and classes were excellent. The little natural pool was a welcome cool off. And the food was delicious.

I had a great week for several reasons: Everyone on Barbaneas are very friendly, Yoga classes are really good and I experienced different types/schools of Yoga, Workshops were amazing and lot more.

great retreat close to the beach

Kai and his team created a beautiful sanctuary in Puerto Escondido close to the beach . Beautifully landscaped with an artistic touch all Bungalows are very comfortable, clean and have a unique architecture . A natural water pool invites for splashing, or just napping in a hammock. The shared meals in an open-air kitchen are perfect to meet other guests. A feeling of belonging and family, makes the experience special.
