Domestic Flights
Daily flights to Nosara Airport (about 15 km from PachaMama) are available through Sansa Air from SJO. Please check luggage size and weight restrictions, as excess baggage may incur fees or prevent you from boarding. Upon arrival at Nosara, taxis are readily available and take approximately 40 minutes to reach PachaMama, with a fare of around $50.

Driving
PachaMama is about a five-hour drive from San José. We recommend using Google Maps directions for directions.

Note: From May to November, a 4-wheel-drive (4×4) vehicle is necessary due to road conditions. During this season, the route via Santa Cruz-Marbella is preferred.

Bus Service
A direct bus leaves daily from San José to Nosara at 5:30 AM and 3:00 PM, with a stop in Santa Cruz. You can check current schedules and make reservations through this website. The San José bus terminal is near Antiguo Cine Libano. Here’s a map.

From Nosara, a taxi to PachaMama costs $50 and takes about 40 minutes. From Santa Cruz, there are buses to PachaMama Monday to Saturday at 4:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 4:00 PM. On Sundays, the bus departs at 12:30 PM.

Ask the driver to let you off at the ‘Cruce de PachaMama’; it’s a 30-minute walk to PachaMama, but you’ll likely catch a ride.

Arriving in Liberia, Guanacaste
Costa Rica’s second international airport, Daniel Oduber, is located in Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste Province, approximately two and a half hours from PachaMama. This airport is a great choice if you prefer to land closer to your destination.

Getting from Liberia to PachaMama
Buses regularly stop at Liberia Airport and head to Santa Cruz or Nicoya. Confirm with the driver that the bus will stop in Santa Cruz.

Once in Santa Cruz, you may need to change bus terminals; a short taxi ride is the most convenient option.

From Santa Cruz, you can catch one of two daily buses to Ostional, Monday to Saturday at 4:00 AM, 12:30 PM, and 4:00 PM. On Sundays, the bus departs at 12:30 PM.

As before, get off at the ‘Cruce de PachaMama’ and continue down the road to PachaMama (a 30-minute walk, though you might find a ride).

Wonderful community
Walking into PachaMama is for me coming home. My entire nervous system relaxes. I have been coming here for 16 years and while there have been some changes the essence of PachaMama is alive and breathing. The nature, the river and the workshops here are rejuvenating and have helped me dive deep into my core and help me find my true essence. I love PachaMama and will continue to return again and again.

Home and transformation
I have been coming to PachaMama for the past 4 years and it’s been a very good experience. I’ve done a lot of woman’s workshops and can truly say my life changed after all these experiences. I’ve grown as a person and PachaMama and all it has to offer created the space to allow it. The healthy tasty food, daily yoga classes, all the movement. Ceremonies, events, workshops. The river and the beautiful beach close by. PachaMama will always have a place in my heart. I highly recommend coming here if you feel the call to go deeper in life.

a sanctuary for the soul
a place that was created for seekers to reconnect with essence, with nature, with that which is already sacred within and around us. It is inviting to come back to the simplicity and joy of life, through meditation and celebration, through inner work and music, deep solitude and community.

Incredible place
I recently spent two incredible weeks at Pachamama, and I can honestly say it was life-changing! As a foreigner and a solo female traveller, I felt safe, welcomed, and part of the community from the start. The peaceful jungle surroundings, the daily yoga, and the authentic spiritual practices helped me disconnect from my busy life and reconnect with myself on a deeper level. I left feeling rejuvenated, more grounded, and ready to bring this newfound energy back home. I’m already planning my next visit – can’t wait to return to this magical place!
