By His Cross and Resurrection: A Triduum Retreat

Fr. Michael Broderick is a priest of the Diocese of Worcester. A Graduate of the Theological College at the Catholic University.  He was ordained June 6, 1987. He has served in several parishes, most recently as pastor at Our Lady of the Lake in Leominster. In 2021 he completed the thirty day Ignatian retreat at Eastern Point Retreat House Gloucester, MA.  In 2023 he stepped down as pastor and began a new chapter in ministry. At the present time he is a  Senior Priest with residence at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough. He participates in a monthly Spiritual Supervision group at the College of the Holy Cross. Fr. Michael recently completed a program in Ignatian Spirituality at the Murphy Center for Spirituality at Fairfield University in Connecticut.  His ministry for the Church is as a spiritual director and sees directees in Northborough. In coming to Genesis, he is coming full circle as this is where his late aunt, Sr. Agnes Broderick, SP was part of the desire to see Genesis Retreat Center established.

As a self-described ragamuffin, Secular Franciscan, and beloved child of God, he embraces life's mysteries with an open heart and a contemplative spirit. This eco-spiritual perspective informs his approach to life, fostering a deep reverence for the Earth and all its inhabitants. Through contemplative practices, he cultivates a heightened awareness of this universal bond, finding the sacred in the ordinary and the extraordinary alike. With a deep-seated passion for accompanying others on their spiritual quests, Joe believes in the power of shared experiences and mutual learning. He finds profound beauty in creation and human connection, emphasizing the transformative potential of being fully present in each moment. This mindful approach allows him to discover joy and freedom even amidst life's challenges, embodying the spirit of companionship Living the Way. Joe's journey towards spiritual wholeness is an ongoing process of integration, bringing together mind, body, and spirit in harmony with the natural world.
