About this Retreat

Sally Barber, co-owner of the Westfield Yoga Center, has devoted the past 30 years to
sharing her passion for yoga with as many people as possible. She is welcoming and
inclusive, able to provide a deeply satisfying yoga experience for novices as well as
experienced practitioners. She is particularly adept at tailoring yoga sessions to suit the
needs of those with a wide range of abilities - and disabilities. Prior to her education and
training in Kripalu Yoga, Sally enjoyed a diverse career in the field of Occupational Therapy
with a Master’s Degree in Allied Health. Since that time, she has become an Advanced Level
Instructor in Amrit Yoga, taught yoga and meditation to young and old alike, provided
advanced training to Yoga Instructors, and received specialized certifications in the
internationally recognized I Am form of Yoga Nidra.
Sally is delighted to return to the Genesis Center where each participant benefits from
yoga not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Light, your light, is the focus of this weekend yoga retreat. Yoga is the perfect way - and now is the perfect time – to increase your inner light.
With yoga practices that move the body and focus the mind, you release tensions, overcome negative thoughts, and reduce anxiety. You feel heathier, calmer, lighter.
With yoga practices that emphasize emotional well-being, you heal old wounds and lessen sadness or depression. Your heart’s light increases.
All are welcome to this uplifting yoga retreat. Prior yoga experience may be helpful, but it is by no means necessary. Sally Barber of the Westfield Yoga Center is sensitive to the needs and abilities of each group member. She skillfully presents modifications to
assure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. This program includes time for connecting with others as well as opportunities for solitude. Your inner light will grow brighter in the nurturing and peaceful setting of the Genesis Center.

I really enjoyed Diarmuid O’Muchu’s
presentation based on his book of the same title. Diarmud is a contemporary oriented theologian. I’ve made several retreats and have learned from each exchange. I highly recommend his retreats and books. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed.

Divine Radiance
As usual, Diarmuid O'Murchu broadened my vision of the importance of our place on this planet and the presence of the Spirit in all that is. My awareness of this is
more evident to me as I return to the routine of daily living. Of course he also talked about many topics of interest to me, including Patriarchy, Eucharist, Energy fields, God's love of us, etc. It was a most enriching experience. Thank you.

Unleashing your inner guide
This was one of the (if not THE) MOST powerful retreat/training experiences I've ever experienced. Betty creates a safe and nurturing community, right from the opening night. By limiting the number of participants, we were able to get to know one another and become friends and supportive community to one another in a way that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Genesis, for hosting this transformative program.
